Zafiro Palace Alcudia

What an amazing hotel for families! We travelled with 3&6 year old. It’s geared towards families I would not recommend if you’re travelling without kids. It is chaotic and busy at all times, which is fine if you’re with kids but if I had travelled here before kids I would have hated it. There is a constant chorus of screaming crying and tantrums which in the buffet was really overstimulating! But I won’t mark the hotel down for this as this is out of their control but people should bear this in mind when booking. There is a small adults only area. The service was brilliant, staff could not do enough for us. They were really good with the kids. The hotel did enforce and stop people reserving loungers which was absolutely amazing. We never had an issue getting a lounger and the lifeguards actively cleared beds which had been reserved and not used for over 40mins. A child vomitted in the pool and unfortunately the parents didn’t tell anyone which resulted in the issue being reported later by another parent so the pool had to be closed and cleaned. I was impressed with how seriously they took infection prevention. The room was clean and spacious and had all the amenities. The housekeeping service was superb and our room was always spotless. The a la carte restaurants were really good! Unfortunately we couldn’t get bookings for the Italian but the sushi and Mediterranean ones were superb. The buffet breakfast and evening meal was good but it was let down by the chaos for us. The location was great a very short walk to supermarkets and the port for lots of great restaurants.

Visited Majorca with this chain of hotels (previously viva) for the past 10years this is our first time at the palace Alcudia. Rooms are as expected, we have two rooms as have children 13&20 yrs so the suite wouldn’t be suitable unless you have very young children (no privacy) We’re in block 1 facing the road .sun is on the balcony in the afternoon, Only staying on bed/breakfast option as we love the restaurants around the port area . Breakfast times are busy , have always been seated with no wait time . The food options are great and cannot fault . NEGATIVE: There is an issue with young children unaccompanied at breakfast times causing near misses with so many people trying to navigate their way around the breakfast buffet especially with hot drinks ! A suggestion of children under 10 to be accompanied by an adult would make this experience better. Teen activities seem to be minimal, more aimed at younger children. For this reason we’ve outgrown this hotel 🥲 Positives:: *no issues of reserving sun beds ,always been plenty free . *Hotel staff and cleaners have been great *Location of hotel is great

Absolutely loving this hotel. Can’t fault it. Accommodation is great, spacious two bedroom apartment. We asked to be moved due to my husband’s limited mobility and nothing was too much trouble. We haven’t struggled at all to find a sun lounger and the food has been great. Breakfast at 10:15 is a little busy but then it’s our choice to come down at the end of service. The staff are superb and are making our stay such a pleasure. I think this is the nicest family hotel we’ve stayed in.

This was our 10th family holiday here. As ever, we had a fantastic holiday. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the food and drink on the all-inclusive are excellent and great value. The kids love the pool, especially the bubble, the football pitch and mini-golf, and the entertainment at night, and the adults love the pool bar. It's all so well integrated for the whole family, and you always meet like-minded people who have kids the same age to have a beer with in the pool. All 4 of us even took part in the daily water polo match this year. As ever, very sad to leave, but looking forward to going back next year.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Zafiro Palace Alcudia. For the price we paid, we expected much higher standards. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and overall cleanliness was far below what a five-star hotel should deliver. On top of that, the quality of the food was very poor – bland, repetitive, and nowhere near the standard you would expect for such an expensive resort. The whole experience simply did not match the value of money we spent. Definitely not a place we would return to or recommend.

Have just spent a week here, after arriving late in the evening we were met with a warm welcome- Check in was smooth and given a bottle of water to take to room, were advised there would be a small snack in room due to the lateness but there wasn’t- On arrival to room we were escorted there by a member of staff whom bought our suitcases the room wasn’t made up as requested, so the member of staff had to separate the two beds to make 2 singles. This then left staples sticking out of bed which were holding the bottom frill in place which we caught our legs on. Beds comfy although I was cold as the duvet was taken, so I had to use the fancy decorative through to add warmth overnight. Room was clean and cleaned daily- the only negative was bathroom was open should you want a bath- 2 sinks which were advantageous and separate toilet and shower- Towels were replaced daily and were a lovely size. Maid that we had all week apart from day of departure was lovely, and friendly. Food- we stayed bed and breakfast and breakfast buffet was lovely, lots of variety and everything was fresh- Staff again very friendly . Always a small Que but to be expected but were seated very quickly- tables cleaned efficiently. We also paid to eat in the man restaurant one evening was very surprised with the cost, and then you had to pay extra for drinks ( we only had soft drinks) choice in the evening was just as good. Entertainment in the evenings was very much aimed at children , even the later entertainment so only stayed and watched it one evening. Pools- what stood out was there was something for everyone and each one had a lifeguard on duty even the swim up rooms! We spent all our time in the adult only pool, sun beds were plenty, no need to reserve , pools was warm and cleaned daily with a jacuzzi are as well- pool towels were provided daily in room and you could request further at reception. Day if leaving there were shower rooms which you had to book, there was an option to late check out but you don’t find out whether it’s confirmed until the morning of check out. The only negatives were day of check out you have until 12pm , but the maid was knocking out door at 0930 wanting to clean room, and then she came back at 1130, this is a bit inappropriate as check out was 1200, even if the room is booked you shouldn’t be made to feel pressure to leave. Then the shower rooms which you use to freshen up had no air con so you are all fresh but come out of there hotter than when you went in! Then my only suggestion although the management team were very visible I didn’t actually see them engaging with guests, when we’ve stayed in previous hotels and management have been visible they come round and speak to the guests, introduce selves, other hotels have had a welcome evening for new arrivals and also have given out a drinks voucher or a restaurant voucher/ it’s the little touches people remember Would I stay again yes as even though the niggles we had we
