Nimrod Resort Apartments

Aardige mensen bij de receptie. Zij gaven goede tips over waar te eten en activiteiten. Het appartement is ruim en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, bv wasmachine, droger en vaatwasser, oven, magnetron en goede airco. Zwembad is prima met fijne ligstoelen en het is er erg rustig. Strand is heel dichtbij. Enige minpuntjes zijn dat de schoonmaak echt niet goed was gedaan (bv veel viezigheid en haren in badkamer en vies servies in de keukenkastjes) en dat vorige gasten echt niet netjes zijn omgegaan met dingen waardoor er dingen gammel en stuk zijn (zoals de wc-rolhouder die los hangt, waardoor die steeds op de vloer valt en het handdoekrek dat schuin hangt).

Beautiful accommodation. Large, clean, well-equipped apartment. Huge balcony overlooking trees. Amazing huge resort pool. Good location. Friendly staff. Only let down was the mattresses were rather uncomfortable. Would certainly stay again.

What a charming little place with a lovely pool and communal BBQ area. Apartments were all clean and modern with a view of the pool and gardens. Felt very safe and well looked after - early morning drilling was a bit unnecessary but all was forgiven as the price was good. Ideally need a car to get around but a lovely Italian restaurant was within walking distance to the apartments.

Great location walking distance to the wildlife centre, large supermarket and beach. Short drive to town and main beaches. Pleasant accommodation and facilities - pool, gardens etc (look out for the Currawongs). What sets Nimrod apart is Leanne and Gus. We had some usual requests and some unusual requests (such as recovering a kid's beloved item taken away with the linen..) and they couldn't have been more helpful with everything. Really enjoyed our stay and wo uuld recommend highly.

The rooms were extremely dirty and full of cockroaches and when brought to manager Leanne’s attention I was completely ignored and disregarded. She is a very rude woman and would not get off the phone after 20 minutes to help me. The place is an absolute ripoff. Avoid at all costs.

I’m in 2 minds about writing this review. The resort managers were absolutely lovely, it is a family run business and I love that. The location is good and the facilities are great, beautiful pool and bbq area with plenty of seating. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious and well fitted out with full size kitchen and laundry. But… The unit is tired and not in great condition. Tile falling off the wall in lounge area, couches stained, door to laundry fell off (hubby fixed) dust was really thick on the back of the headboard in bedrooms, I cleaned as I couldn’t cope with it! The kitchen utensils were so greasy and sticky they had to be washed before using or we just didn’t touch them. Mould throughout the shower and as it was black tiles and grout you really couldn’t be certain to the extent of mould and grime. The curlews (which I love) sit outside the screen doors during the night so there is bird poop all over the patio. We also had concerns about one of the scrub hens who seems to have a damaged leg, hopefully a wildlife cater can assess it? Normally I would have asked to change rooms, but we were so tired from our travels we just didn’t have the energy. I was planning on chatting with management on checkout but we must have left early as office was closed. There is also a lack of obvious rubbish disposal points, our bin was overflowing and we would have liked to empty it but couldn’t find a place to do so.
