Last year, in the Fall of 2023, I called and left messages, 2 times for someone to call me back regarding details in reserving 3-4 rooms for an annual event that I coordinate for a group of friends every year. No one called me back, so I took my business to one of their competitors and we all had a great time. This year at 12:27 PM on 11/1/2024 I called and again no one answered the phone, so I left a message on option #1, which is the front desk. I also left a message on option #2 which is their event planning department. At 3:50 PM on 11/1/2024 I received a call back from their event planning department. I explained the problems I had been having in reaching out to someone at the front desk. She was quite apologetic for the non-responsiveness of the front desk and said she would relay the message to the front desk. At 4:22 PM I received a call from an individual at the front desk. Upon questioning her I found out that she received my number from the event planner and not from the recorded message I had left from about noon earlier that day. So, in other words, she still had not been checking her messages. WHY IS THIS IMPORANT? Because if they aren’t answering their phone, I wouldn’t be able to ask about room rates, availability, parking, other amenities that they may offer, etc... It would be a real struggle to communicate before and after we have arrived. After reading other reviews, I noticed that this problem has occurred with other clients also. While questioning this individual about not responding, I told her that I did not agree with her on one point, so she elected the hang up on me! It’s too bad that she could not conduct herself more like the person from event planning. I’ve been in my own service-oriented business for 46 years and if I treated my clientele with such rudeness, I would not have prospered. I suggest management should investigate who they staff the front desk with, because they are at the forefront of what is a good representation of this business.
