3 Pines Lodge Muskoka

Really enjoyed our stay. Ate in the wing restaurant which was lovely and reasonably priced! Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of pastries, tea, coffee and cereals. Would highly recommend!

What a great local spot to enjoy the Muskoka ambience. Within minutes from Mary Lake, a 15 minute drive to Huntsville, this lodge is convenient for any budget minded individual. It is just what you need, nothing overly fancy. Room was clean enough, obviously some small things were missed however nothing to get upset about. I loved having my own little balcony to sit out and enjoy the warm weather, plus the complimentary breakfast was an extra bonus. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to support a local business, and anyone wanting an affordable getaway.

I initially contacted the hotel to request a resend of my confirmation email, as I didn't receive one after booking initially. Despite providing Chris with two different email addresses, I still didn't receive a confirmation. Five days before my scheduled stay, I called to cancel due to a family emergency, but Chris informed me of their 7-day cancellation policy and the need to transfer the room to another patron, otherwise I would be charged. I couldn't verify their policy due to never receiving the confirmation email and no indication of a 7 day cancellation over the phone. Three days before my stay, I called again and was assured by Chris that the room had been transfered and I wouldn't be charged. However, I discovered today that I was indeed charged. In my view, if the hotel sold my room to someone else and still charged me, it constitutes fraud. It is also entirely possible the Chris lied to me over the phone and intended to charge me for the empty room. Getting through to the front desk often requires multiple attempts, based on my experience. Giving this level of customer service and handling of the situation a one-star review feels generous. I recommend finding another place to stay for peace of mind.

Got ripped off on price. Confirmed one price and then charged more. We had confirmed price with new visa card in June for three stays in the summer. The first visit everything was ok but the second time we went they said they didn't have new Visa even though it was confirmed. Later on they forged my initials to say I said change was ok . No integrity. Total liars

Beware, our room charges were put through on our credit card even before we checked in. We were given room #2, which turned out to be one of the renovated rooms. Things that were not included in the “renovation”: No security locks or peep holes on the door, no curtain (just the blind which had to be stretched out over top of the air conditioner), no safe, no coffee maker & cups, no bottles of water, only one bedside lamp, no daily housekeeping & no phone in the room to contact front desk, housekeeping or restaurant. Staff availability at the front desk was hit or miss. All outdoor seating areas were dirty and the property was unkept. The entrance and stairs up to the front desk were dirty and in desperate need of a clean. Continental Breakfast: BRING YOU OWN. Coffee and tea were available, a toaster, milk in the fridge for coffee or cereal. What they did have was white bread & bagels. Two kinds of cereal. An assortment of small pastries: mini muffins etc. No juice, no fruit and NO COVER ON THE PASTRIES. Two highlights of the stay: the attached restaurant Wings Port was good & the bed was comfortable. This is truly a dated accommodation that needs modernization.

As much as we enjoyed our visit to the Lodge for a wedding. We were very disappointed in so many things, Firstly people were charged for their room before they even got there , no receipts for anyone.. The lobby was quite nice and sort of rustic looking BUT the bedrooms all need a complete overall , painting, curtains, decorated more in a pleasant way, we had a TV we could not watch unless you laid on the floor as it was on a small table, while a fireplace was hanging on the wall, no clocks , no phone, no peep hole in the door. And no one on the desk after a certain hour if you had a problem.. Breakfast was another thing, no coffee machine , no juices, no cover over the danish pastry, no selection of any sort .ie eggs ,bacon etc... If these people want more tourist they better up there game or it will go down hill real fast.

We enjoyed our stay. It is not for people with high expectations of 5 stars but we loved our overnight stay. Lodge warm and friendly. Room good . AC great, bed comfortable. Restaurant attached was excellent, best wings we’ve ever had . Friendly staff and we felt comfortable and welcome .

Very disappointing experience, rooms big but very outdated, breakfast is very poor, I would say, the poorest I ever seen, no maid to clean the room, which I don’t care, but the envelope for tips is there. If it was advertised as 2 star motel, I would definitely okay with that, but they are pretending to be 3 star lodge, which makes it like a joke….
