Hampton Inn & Suites Lamar

What a wonderful inn and staff. The view from the front of the inn is magnificent. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. The rooms were clean and well appointed. I was glad to see grab bars in the shower. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was a night light in the bath room. There was a great selection at breakfast. My husband was so happy that they had decaf coffee available in the large urns around the clock. The Hampton Inn in Beachwood, OH never has decaf ready. You have to ask for it and then have to wait while it is brewed and served in a carafe.

Perfectly fine stop midway across Pennsylvania. Clean and comfortable. Very spacious room. Local eating spot nearby if you are tired of fast food. Very convenient to Interstate 80. Good, hot breakfast.

The hotel is convenient off I80, there is a small diner/bar very close which was nice. We arrived, the staff & the lobby were very nice, the room was big & had a nice view, but the room had very old dated furniture & a dirty rug. While trying to sleep, the out dated A/C / heat unit was next to the bed & very loud that kept going off every 10 mins. The next morning at 7am there was no hot water for a shower. Which was very disappointing. We only stayed for 12 hours while passing through on a road trip & need a good night & a hot shower & got neither.

DON’T STAY HERE !! INFESTED WITH BUGS. The pictures don’t do it justice, absolutely traumatizing. On top of that the front office staff gave us a room key when someone else was still in there. Due to all this nonsense we had to switch our rooms 3 times.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, though worn. Breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. Problem was with housekeeping/lost and found. I left my car keys and a bunch of other keys at the hotel front (drove off with spare key fob in my pocket). Called housekeeping/lost and found. A woman told me that she heard it was found and would get back to me. Never received the call. I called back numerous times weeks apart, explaining that this would potentially cost serious money to change locks, key fob etc. No one ever picked up, message says will call you back and they never did. Front desk says that only housekeeping could answer for sure. So ZERO after-service. Love the tranquility of the area and would have come back again but can't give business to people who don't have five minutes for you. Who knows if a quick check of the cameras would not have found my keys immediately.

Hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, except for the coffee since they only had had light roast coffee, not dark or medium roast. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for one night as a halfway point to our vacation destination. The staff was courteous and we enjoyed our stay and recommend it. It’s been my experience with the digital keys that they don’t always work very well so I always request a key card. The location was convenient, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms clean.

Hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very polite. Excellent breakfast including omelets, sausage, potatoes as well as waffles and fresh muffins. Beds were very comfortable. Room was spacious. Nice pool. Would definitely stay there again.

We dropped off kids for Camp Woodward, which is about 30 minutes away. Up the mountain and down the mountain nearby. Very nice stay. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. The views around the hotel was very nice. The only thing missing were benches to sit outside behind the hotel. There was one bench by the entrance to register. The pool was inside but was stuffy and smelled like an indoor chlorine pool, which was strong. As Floridians we would not use it.
