Plaza Real by Atlantichotels

Best is the space in the apartment and the pool is reasonably accessible. But apartments were not updated. Signs of the oven were worn off, so not sure how it supposed to work and neither reception person could resolve and quite old equipment's including the beds in the apartment. So do not expect comfort with any furniture available. Worst is the breakfast offered. It's not clean, too small choice and things run out. So mostly end up having only the coffee in there. Sausages were literally inedible and seems lowest quality food provided there including cereals which kids refused to have after first time. Customer service within the Plaza Real Atlantichotels is "stay if you want, or leave". So I do not recommend.

Prima kwaliteit verhouding voor een kort verblijf in Praia da Rocha. Was al eerder in de accomodatie geweest, dus wist wat ik kon verwachten. Tijdens verblijf van zes dagen / 5 nachten geen schoonmaak en geen wissel van handdoeken is niet ok. Trainingscomplex van voetbalclub Portimonense ligt direct achter complex. Voor de liefhebber.

Told we could ‘upgrade’ here from studio 17 as they had not cleaned the rooms yet. - when arriving to new hotel, it was a bit of an underwhelming experience. Rooms smelled, bed had bed bugs and as we were to have a shower, we noticed only 1 towel was left. Going down to reception to ask for more towels and were told someone will check room to see if they ‘believe’ us and that we haven’t stole any towels. We waited over an hour to get this sorted. Nothing was coming of it. So we all ended up showering and using a T-shirt to dry us. Breakfast was €10 for some slices of toast, pastries and cheap ham. Much better options at cafes or restaurants for €10. In a nut shell. We would not return

Apartment was very big and had everything you could want. We had a ground floor overlooking one of two the football grounds. Training every night until 10.30 or matches being played also all weekend. So very noisy. Coaches coming and going day and night and cars dropping off the players. Then while we were there more noise from a digger as they were having alterations done to the grounds. Sofa bed wasnt the best. - Noisy as hell! Someone moving a chair in one apartment. sounds like THUNDER! and most people did it a lot If windy outside also inside!!! We asked if we could be moved to a top floor apartment but was told no. We were there for 8 weeks so you think they would have tried to move us Not helpful at all. Would we go back and stay no chance

Unfortunately even though the hotel is great apartments have everything you need one thing they failed to mention is that if you opt for 'apartment with no cleaning ' you don't get any change of towels , this means the enormous WHITE towels they do provide you with at the start you will have to wash in the sink and attempt to get dried somehow. No change of bed linen either so you'll need t wash them too . I think I paid enough to have my ties and bed linen changed at least one a week like everyone else . The hotel should have e mailed me ahead if my stay to clarify I would not get any changes if towels and bed linen as I would have bought my own much lighter dark towels and my duvet cover . If they are not going t provide any towels or sheets other than the first ones try need to plumb in a washing machine which I would happily use to wash sheets and towels they are too big and impossible to wash by hand and get clean and wring out enough to hang out . I paid the same price at pateo village last year and they came in and changed my towels and bedding every other day whether I needed it or not ! It gone from one extreme to not at all . Now I'll have to go buy some towels because theirs are impossible to wash without them going mouldy . I have contacted my travel agent to ask them to clarify why I haven't been allocated a change of towels as reception told me it was because of my travel agent I did not receive a change of towels I don't really see that it their job to over see this and it clearly states on my voucher as change of towels and bed linen but no cleansing services which is classed as sweeping and mopping floors and that the only service i have not paid for . If you lots for no cleaning services they won't place weekly supply of toilet roll you have to g onto reception to ask for it . Very embarrassing I think ... it's a home I've had to write this review I don't like writing and reviews but I wanted to warm you guys ahead of your stay what you won't get so bring your own easily washable towels and duvet covers yy can get n the sink that are easy t dry or better still find a hotel that either is clear on this issue or find a hotel that does provide clean towels each week .

Went with my sister for Christmas week. We had separate apartments and as requested they were next to each other. The apartments were really spacious , clean and fresh. The outside of the building could do with freshening up but all good. The cafe bar served amazing food. We ate in lots of places but the best food was served by Bruno in the cafe bar. The staff were fabulous. The location is ok if you're mobile but as it was December there were limited options locally for dinner or drinks but everywhere we went was fantastic.
