The pillows were divine. The sheets were silky soft. The room had beautiful decor and amenities — all the ones I could have hoped for! The waffle robe was a highlight too! I was so impressed with the whole building and the attention to design and detail. My host xi-gong (forgetting the name exactly!) was so so helpful and kind. She answered every question and helped me carry my luggage as I have a back injury. The garden was amazing!! Plan in time to sip some tea out there in the evening! Wonderful place and I would love to stay again.

Absolute gem! From the moment we walked in we felt at home. We had everything we needed and more. They had a sweet surprise at check-in for our anniversary and birthday. The breakfast basket was perfect to start our day. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

We spent the night here when we accidentally booked a stay that was one night short at the Longfellow Hotel around the corner. This is a beautifully decorated, cozy, and stylish B&B. Instructions on getting in, parking etc. couldn’t be more clear and there’s a well stocked open pantry so you can help yourselves to snacks and drinks during your stay. Overall, there’s an atmosphere of well-thought-out hospitality that I really appreciate. My only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that the sheets are not cotton. The location couldn’t be beat as it’s walking distance to great restaurants, vintage stores, etc.. highly recommend.

Our room, Little Bird at the Carleton property, was spacious and lovely. Wonderful decor and comfortable. Common areas promote community and are also spacious and timelessly stylish. Breakfast delivered to room was delicious - pastry, yogurt, bananas, coffee. Only downside is the parking - we arrived quite late and finally found a spot a few blocks away.

We stayed one night. There was some confusion with our travel agent not supplying door codes to the hotel. This was resolved by the very helpful Blind Tiger staff. Please make sure you read the website of the hotel. As it does not have a reception desk you need the door codes in advance to gain entry. The rooms were lovely and there was a large lounge downstairs. The downside is that it is a 30 minute walk to the port/tourist area. Also, there is construction across the street that started at 7.30 a.m.

My Fiancé and I just got engaged while staying at Blind Tiger! The staff was incredible and very attentive. Breakfast delivered to our rooms was an unexpected treat! The decor and ambiance of the lobby and room was very elegant and well thought out. We’ve stayed at other hotels in Portland before and no other experience has come close to this one in terms of customer service and ambiance. Looking forward to coming back!

Stopped at Blind Tiger on our way to Rockland…What a lovely surprise…immaculate…toast & yogurt breakfast, tea & coffee…more than enough for us…Tamara made the morning pleasant and interesting…love learning about history of the home…spots to eat…3 minutes, walking distance away…can’t wait to go back!
