Portodrach Aparthotel & Suites

Realmente me ha sorprendido. Si bien es cierto que en Mallorca raro es el alojamiento que no sea de calidad, este ha superado mis expectativas. Está situado frente al puerto con orientación este, por lo que ves amanecer por tu ventana. El apartamento tenía todo lo necesario para una agradable estancia: baño privado, cocina con microondas, cama grande y cómoda, un amplio balcón con una mesa, cuatro sillas y dos tumbonas, etc. Tal vez he echado en falta un hervidor de agua y una mejor insonorización de la puerta de entrada al apartamento. El personal muy amable y atento.

The room was bright, clean and spacious with a great view of the marina. Close to cafes and bars and a short walk to the beach and bus stop. The pool and seating area is very clean and has a lifeguard at all times while the pool is open. Very helpful friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was really nice with a good selection of wine.

Spacious, modern and well equipped apartments in the best location. Make sure you get a marina view apartment cos the road behind the hotel is a little noisy. Take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival would have been nice. The beds are firm (but we like it that way). Steps everywhere so I wouldn't recommend to the elderly or those with toddlers. They do not provide small toiletries - just liquid hand soap and they don't provide any washing up liquid. The safe is tiny and you have to pay €12 for the key. If you turn left out of the hotel and walk up the steps you're right by the Caves of Drach and the Majiorca store (I bought some pearl earrings). The food and drink in the hotel is good but I do recommend Quince or Fussio just across the marina. The drinks are UK prices so I recommend the Twist bar across the marina.

Had a great 3 night stay here. We were made very welcome, the apartment was even better than the description, we chose a harbour view 2 bedroom which was very comfortable, large rooms with everything needed for a good stay. The description only mentioned one bathroom but each room had its own large en-suite. Every member of staff we met was very helpful and the restaurant were very helpful with my friend needing gluten free food. The apartment is a short walk to the caves of Drach which has a large cafe with very good coffee and food. The apartments are well placed with just a short walk across a bridge to a number of good restaurants and a beautiful beach is just further along the river.

The staff are very friendly and happy to help. My room was very clean and spacious, although I didn’t have a proper balcony at first I then got moved to a 2 floor apartment. The pool is a decent size but has lots of chlorine! My white swimming suit went a green shade and my blonde hair also did. Just outside of the reception there is a place where you can rent electric or non electric bikes. There is a gym with basic equipment but good enough. There is a library/ book area where books can be borrowed/ bought or donated. This is the best place to stay in Porto Cristo. The pool overlooks the boat yard The hotel is about at 10 minute walk away from the caves of drach and a 4 minute walk from the main centre where you cross the river and walk up.

We booked the Porto Drach apartments via Love Holidays, and selected a standard two bed apartment as we were traveling with my 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son. When we arrived the room configuration was not as expected. Firstly, there’s not a proper balcony. Instead, part of the second bedroom has been sectioned off to create an odd sort of ‘sun room’ which was basically two chairs looking out of an unglazed window over looking the car park. It was very uninviting and more of a cupboard than a balcony. Because of this sectioning off, the second bedroom was incredibly small and only had room for a double bed, which was pushed against the wall to allow you to open the wardrobe door. There was no surface space, even a bedside table. Unfortunately this room was totally unsuitable for our children and so my son ended up sleeping on the sofa. Whilst the configuration was disappointing, the room was well equipped and clean. The hotel itself is in a good location within walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. The pool area was nice, although it’s right next to a dry dock so be prepared for noise. There’s a lifeguard on duty, but as they were sitting tucked behind a wall with no actual view of the pool, don’t rely on them to be saving anyone! In all, the hotel was fine for our short stay but I wouldn’t rush back. And definitely go for an upgraded room if you want a balcony and two proper bedrooms.
