A very mixed experience Good points are the reception and housekeeping both of which are very efficient, with the morning receptionists being some of the best I have come across. Acceptable points were the breakfast buffet which had everything but not really very appealing to the eye, coffee was terrible ( went next door to a very good patisserie instead for espressos) the downstairs lounges were ok but very functional Bad points staff in the food and beverage areas and the quality of the food at dinner. Hotel was VERY understaffed with one person covering all the food service and bar service on two floors which lead to guests having to wait 15 minutes for someone to show them to a table, slow service for the whole of dinner and then being unable to find any service in the bar downstairs. Food choice was limited with frozen ingredients being re constituted and plated up in a very hap hazard way. No draught beer in bar in lounge only in the restaurant and only available when restaurant was open. Location is fine for business clients but off the main tourist parts of Porto about 10 euros in a taxi to the river, there is a fantastic food court in the market about 200 meters from the hotel very good selection of fresh food stalls and some very interesting drinking areas with beers from around Europe I wouldn't stay in this hotel again.
