The dining room and bar area very cold did not appear to have any heating. Room 135 never did get any hot water as at the end of the corridor. Insufficient staff but those in attendance worked very hard.

I stayed on the Premier Inn “Port Solent” which is just off the motorway but far enough away for it not to hear it. The rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need. The bedroom windows are screwed closed even on the second floor so there is no air flow at all. To note it’s a taxi ride away from the restaurants / shops at Portsolent (£6) and parking is £3.

Very friendly and welcoming staff at reception and at both dinner and breakfast. Premier Inn does some things very well and that includes a comfortable room and bed. Julie was managing the dining room and covered a lot of ground to keep on top of food service and on new arrivals for dinner.

If you like sleeping in an oven, this is perfect. Unfortunately the advertised air conditioning (one of the main reasons we chose this location) had a maintainance spanner on the controls and we could not change the settings. Despite repeat visits to reception, we couldn't cool the room down. Worst night's sleep at a Premier Inn in a long time.

Good points were: Bed and room is comfy Staff were pleasant Food waste nice Bad points: Room wasn't cleaned well Room cups weren't washed properly Very understaffed Despite not being busy, tables took ages to be cleared. Food wasn't readily available Coffee machine not working Ran out of bowls Ran out of plates Air con blasting cold air in dining area. My overall feeling was this felt like a neglected premier inn. Maybe not the places fault directly. But Premier inns need to address these issues because the bad out weighs the good and we wouldn't stay here again unfortunately.

On check in. No body at reception had to wait 15 mins. Couldn’t book a table for evening meal, had to do that in the restaurant after check inn. Waited 10 mins for staff to see me at the restaurant area. Book a table for 7:30 as there were no tables earlier. I was at my table for 7:30, ordered food at 7:40 then took till 8:30 to get starter came cold. Main course came out at 8:55 no cutlery on table and the old women who is in the restaurant serving, just seems to be out of her depth. Premier inn should be ashamed as your getting like the travelodge chain and they are crap.

I booked 5 rooms and we had mixed experiences. Some good some terrible. This hotel has lack of staff and it really shows. Check in was long and the check in screens didn’t really work, so had a long wait to get key. The receptionist was fed up and it showed. Trying to find staff in this place is a nightmare. Also I think house keeping was on holiday. As they don’t clean if you stay for more than one night. Worst part was when one of our party had to help the manager to reset the electrics in the room. Shower leaked over the floor and the room needed maintenance urgently. Premier plus rooms are not the high standards you expect. Expect bad and you may get good with this hotel. Like I say we had good and bad

Nice hotel. Easily located. Very busy so unfortunately no reservation for dinner. Checkin was easy. Room was nice and clean - would’ve liked to have been able to open windows but no big deal. Rather small bar/restaurant area in comparison to other premier inns, but nice breakfast and accommodating and friendly staff.

I would say that this was probably the worst Premier Inn that I've stayed in. It was not clean, the staff weren't very friendly, and the standard of food at both breakfast and dinner was bad. Despite having lots of empty tables at the time we turned up and requested dinner, we were made to pre-book for an hour later. On the positive side it was a very comfortable bed with little outside noise overnight, despite the bedroom being right next to a main road.
