Oxbow Country Estate

We attended a wedding ceremony and reception at Oxbow Country Estate. It was one of the best organised and executed events I ever had the privilege to attend. Everything from arrivals, the chapel service, reception and the food were out of this world. The staff were attentive and professional and everything on this day just equaled elegance. The location and surrounds reminded me of an English countryside.

Oxbow is a beautiful venue, picturesque! The rooms are a little bit on the small side, but really beautiful and the bed is very comfortable.

Good Day, Thank you very much for the lovely stay for the day and night of the 16th of November 2024. The rooms were incredible clean and comfortable, the food was great would appreciate if more options on the dinner than the limited menu. I would appreciate if I knew the menu prior if perhaps, I had preferences and diet restrictions as I do not eat raw fish and there was a starter with that. The lady Smangele has been the best since I reserved the room etc. I cannot fault her on anything, your need such staff, she was absolutely the best in all aspects. Well Done to her. We loved the nature, peace and serenity even if for 2 days it really was amazing for us to get out of the bustle of life in generally to recentre, take a break and recoup. The rooms are not soundproof, right next to us there was a noisy couple and we basically had to bear through disturbing sounds till after midnight. That was the worst despite the comfy room and all good. Not sure how that can be improved. The lady who served us breakfast on the 17th of November was very rude, not courteous, does not greet and threw instructions lamely on where we should sit so she could serve us breakfast. Knowing our rights we told here where we preferred to sit and she just agreed hesitatingly. She overall worked like she is doing us a favour and is being forced to work, she did not even show us the hot drinks options etc so that was the worst low light of our entire trip. You did not need such staff as the face for your business. Beside overall an amazing experience, we really appreciate. Regards, Nomvelo

We were invited to my friend's wedding at ox bow country estate. What a great experience we had, from our arrival to departure the next day. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, excellent service. What a beautiful tranquil place this place is. Definitely a venue to remember... Well done to all involved in running the estate, a job well done. Definitely would recommend oxbow country estate for any function you looking at ... Bravo ... Bevan Beckmann

Due to its location, and the gate to through which GPS directed, my driver and I, led to an unfortunate racial attack by the property security personnel. Leading to us being held by force, waiting for some manager, who never arrived. I am glad we made it out unhurt, except for emotional scars from the verbal abuse we got. The property itself, and the staff therein, are friendly. However, the overall experience became poor, and one left feeling traumatized by how the use of drop-off gate was handled, and the foul language used by the security staff. Cleanliness of the rooms and property is good given that they are on a dusty road. Quality of towels, however, and their brown colour is a turn-off for me. Limited food choices, but this should not be generalised.

Great venue, beautiful landscape with animals, so tranquil. Well organised, beautiful hall and decor. Service was great and waitrons were very friendly and helpful.
