San Michele Boutique Hotel

The photos of the hotel and room did not reflect the reality. The room (Grande Suite) was spacious but the furniture uncomfortable (except for the bed, which was very nice). The bathroom was small and awkward in layout. I would not call this a boutique hotel because, while it is in a very lovely locale, the amenities and attention by the staff were not at that level of luxury. One of the reasons we chose San Michele was that it advertised spa services through a partner property. Upon arrival, when I inquired about an appointment, I was told that the spa was closed for the season (mid-October). The staff member was not apologetic about the discrepancy nor did they direct me to any other option. We did not feel like welcomed guests in this hotel; the staff at the front desk as we were coming and going hardly looked at us or greeted us. Finally, the price was far too high for the accomodations and services received. Procida was very quiet at this time of year, and the hotel is situated in a charming nook on the island.

This is a delightful boutique hotel, set in the beautiful, lively harbour at Corricella. It was our first visit to Procida; we were drawn by the use of the island as a filming location in "Il Postino" and "The Talented Mr Ripley". If anything, it was even better than we had anticipated. The hotel is set on several levels, the main entrance being on the steep road which descends to the harbour. The rooms are set on terraces of varying sizes, and are fairly simply furnished, extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We very much enjoyed our breakfasts and an evening meal at the hotel's restaurant "Il Pescatore". Service was friendly and helpful, though the reception desk is not always occupied. Corricella is stunning - still a fishing village, with plenty of local inhabitants to offset the increasing numbers of visitors. We enjoyed walking the steep streets, ate well at harbour side restaurants and spent a happy hour or two circumnavigating the island by boat. This is a great place. Strongly recommended!

What a gorgeous place to stay in Procida We had a wonderful room with a large terrace and the most incredible view. Simona was so help before we arrived with my numerous requests and Barbara on reception was so helpful our whole stay. Il Pescatore restaurant was perfect Paradise, Pascal and Patricia were just amazing to us and the food is excellent as is the setting right on the water. The island is breathtaking from the views, beaches, restaurants and we can wait to return to San Michele.

This hotel is a lovely! The most beautiful hotel in Procida in a bohemian style. The rooms are gorgeous, the location is the best, the team is very friendly. And not to mention the restaurant |I Pescatore... the best for us! If you're going to Procida, don't hesitate to stay here. Why have I not given this hotel 5/5……a coffee machine in the room would make all the difference, and a parasol on the balcony. The balcony is superb however the heat without any shade until early evening meant we were unable to use it much at all. In saying this we would stay here again.

Simply the most perfect setting for a hotel, overlooking the bay and watching the fishing boats and leisure craft (the gin palaces seemed to be at the weekend only). If you are there over a weekend the bay fills up with an amazing number of vessels and table reservations are a must. The rest of the time it’s relaxingly quiet. Lovely staff on hand to help with any queries. The restaurants are great, particularly Il Pescatore at the hotel itself where the staff are exceptional. The roads are steep so trainers are a must!

Staff was very kind and so helpful. I had the basico suite room and was super clean with a very beutiful design and the comfiest bed. Balcony with breathtaking view with a very good breakfast in the morning. Overall experience was amazing.
