Hotel Cala Lunga

Beautiful location, lovely property finished with a local stone and marble, we love the decor and furnishings. The property looks much, much better than on the pictures. We were pleasantly surprised and I am in real estate/ interior design and I am pretty particular about the details. We were greeted at the parking and our bags were transported to the hotel with a golf cart. Friendly staff. The private beach for the guests is fabulous, with sun beds, parasols and a beach bar. We had a fantastic stay. The hotel's owner is planning to upgrade the beach area in the future, too, so surely we will be back.

We were staying on the island in an apartment but booked up come here to use the facilities. As part of the booking it was a requirement to eat in their restaurant. Service was extremely slow and it took 10 minutes to get a drinks order. We both decided to order a burger which took about 30 minutes to arrive. When they arrived I looked inside the bun as the burger looked like one that you would buy frozen from a supermarket. The burger was cold in the middle and not fully cooked. Both burgers were taken away and returned still cold. In view of the poor quality meat neither of us wanted to get I’ll from eating the uncooked meat. We went back to reception and the member of staff wasn’t apologetic at all for our situation and blamed the situation on us so we decided to leave. I asked for the booking fee to be refunded as we had only been there a couple of hours and they refused. They also charged us for the drinks we had. Terrible food and service. Stay away!

Stayed 3 nights in July 2022, in Prestige Sea View Rooms. Although the 2 rooms was a bit on the small side, they had Great views and was with new and fresh interior and bathrooms. Service was excellent, with the Manager Roberto being very attentive and accommodating. The hotel has a lot of good atmosphere, and combined with its unique position at the northern tip of La Maddalena, we are going to return. The Pool and private beach area, has a intimate yet spacious setting, and is a really unique asset of this hotel.
