We stayed at the Due Lune hotel for 8 nights, from end of September 2022. It is a family-managed hotel, located in a spectacular setting facing the sea and the rugged and impressive Tavolara island. The Due Lune opens up on a gentle grassy slope leading to the private beach. We like to swim and snorkel for extended periods and it was a good place to practice, with enough boulders and rocks to hide fishes. We had a Seaside Deluxe Double room, large and airy, nicely decorated with huge painted stone slabs. The balcony was facing the sea. We felt very cosy in this room. The staff was kind, attentive, and professional. A special word of praise for the management, which was always willing to share local information; it has also been very helpful and accommodating when we had to change travel plans at the last minute and extend our stay in an unexpected manner. The breakfast buffet was very good. We only had dinner once at the hotel, which was excellent. We appreciated the fact that we could have spaghetti alla bottarga although it was not on the menu: we just had to ask for it. The gym was fairly large and well equipped: stationary and elliptical bikes, treadmill, weights, long rowing machine, and so on. We have stayed about ten times in various places of Sardinia and experienced diverse types of accommodation. The Due Lune will be at the top of the list for our next trip.
