Selection Riviera Cancún - All Inclusive

The hotel is beautiful however it felt like a zombie vacation where is the people ! They listed multiple restaurants however it’s only 2! No hot tubs only if u have a swim up room . Karaoke night had 2 people . You couldn’t access the beach it’s full of seaweed . There is a hot tub in your room however it’s no hot water the water was near warm if that. The staff was nice however i felt it was a waste of vacation. At 8:00 It’s no moment you can’t get in the pool. We were told there was an adult pool however there were kids in the pool kids ran up in down the hallway as well maybe so much noise. Not to mention at dinner 2 kids ran in screamed the entire night one little guy sit under my table near my leg it was his birthday the best part was singing happy birthday to the adorable guy. I booked 2 rooms over 2k in I would say me being a traveler this was my worst experience. Not to mention I was hounded to do a presentation.

This property is under new ownership. The staff is under trained and often provided incorrect information to guests. Was not informed until my last day that the $70/day room credit had to be utilized each day or forfeited. Staff at spa informed my daughter it was cumulative and she ended up paying almost $200USD for a 40 minute message OUTRAGEOUS. Mexico is NOT cheap. Started booking airport transportation through the resort. Quoted $180USD round trip. Found my own at $115. Beware of this resort the facility is old and in disrepair. Portions of meals changed daily getting smaller and smaller each day. The lobster upgrade was a ridiculous $75USD at an all inclusive for 2 lobster tails, you can decide for yourself but I’m not going back.

We spent 5 nights here with our 2 and 5 year old. From the champagne welcome to the seamless checkout, we had a head to toe wonderful time. I read ALL of the comments prior to booking and almost changed our reservations due to some consistent commentary on the food, hot water situation, yucky beach, etc. None of these were an issue for us. Was the beach mucked up, sure, but 3/5 days it was cleared up enough (mostly thanks to staff who relentlessly attempted to keep it clean) that my kids spent hours enjoying watching the waves and collecting shells. The food was absolutely incredible. Some of the best meals we’ve ever had and besides the buffet, never ate at the same restaurant twice. We had zero issues with the hot water in our room. Lastly, the staff was just so accommodating and kind to our whole family, just so incredibly friendly. My only real note would be that having a portal or some kind of app that electronically shows what’s available and when everyday would be helpful. They just had paper copies of all the important information. Very happy that we kept our reservation and would definitely return

Lovely staff. Very clean resort. Rooms spacious & clean. Comfortable beds. AC worked well & not too loud. Lovely balconies. Liked that the shower, double sinks & toilet were all separate therefore accessible to more than 1 person for different needs at the same time. However, the door to the toilet in our room was just frosted glass without a proper door knob, not great privacy or easy to open/close due to the lack of door knob (a minor detail). Buffet & restaurant staff great & very accommodating esp for picky eaters:) outdoor property well maintained & has nice pools. It was great there wasn’t an extra charge for the cabanas either. The beach front for this resort was mainly kept free of sargassom & had a good number of palapas that were cabana style. This was a surprise because next door was the Hyatt ziva & their beachfront was no where near as nice as Palmar’s. The food at the buffet & restaurants has a nice variety/selection. The 24hr room service convenient but could be hit or miss (our son a bit picky & they didn’t get his order right twice). Overall a lovely resort, great value for what we paid. A great experience for our family but if I were a single looking for a partying atmosphere, probably a resort along the Cancun strip would be more ideal. This was perfect for us as it was relaxing & felt very safe (but not walkable to any town or off property restaurants, same could be said for any of the other resorts near this one).

Beautiful!!! The grounds are wonderfully kept, the rooms are modern and clean, the food was fantastic, and the staff is one to admire. We had the room with the swim up pool. It was the best decision! Our room was close to the pool bar and Bettyna was on call! Her friendly and attentive service made our stay all the better. We will most definitely return.

The resort persistently pressured us to purchase a timeshare. The restaurant operated only on select days, and the quality of the food was average at best. Additionally, the rooms were in disrepair and could have benefited from more thorough cleaning.
