Apartamentos Río Piedras

Location of apartments is excellent, 5 mins walk to main beach and a well stocked spar, 15 min walk to main shopping areas, another supermarket just behind complex. Huge terraces to most apartments, apartment a little dated but very clean and perfect for us. Great to have a kitchen area. Pool on roof with bar and food. We opted for breakfast not the greatest choice if you like a lot of options but fine and staff friendly. There are places by the beach for breakfast or use the kitchen. Lots of steps around apartments although is a lift but still need to generally be able to access some stairs. Reception staff friendly and there is a shower room you can use if you have a late flight. Would stay here again.

Where to start? Perfect location, just steps till the beach, till 2 good basic shops. Lovely view from the balcony, well working aircon in the bedroom, fan in the living room, comfortable beds, spacious, plenty of cabinets and wardrob places, well enough equipped kitchen (oven, micro, kettle, coffee maker), big fridge with freezer, absolutely perfect place to someone travelling solo and prefers self catering and eat in the room. Tip: delicacies, Mercadona has delicious fried duck legs, perfect sushi, foie gras and many ready meal nowadays, 1.5 km up or taxi for 6. The apartment was EMF silent, it's such a rarity nowadays, my meter showed green with very low values everywhere! Due to this I slept well, I felt well all along (I usually suffer in hotels a lot due to unprofessional solutions and wifi hotspots in the room causing insomnia, vertigo, headache and more - I am sensitive). The net stil worked (I used only once, it was ok, was better on the balcony where the still green - mW/m2 value was higher). Nothing "green and fair" bs, no 200 silly rules to feel yourself as if you would be in a camp but on a holiday you paid a lot for feeling well. Ashtray on the balcony. It is maybe dated, and no plush carpets on the corridors (thanks g, luggages' weels can roll as they should) but I found it absolutely comfortable. The only bad thing was the afternoon sun heating up the balcony (badly), it can't be used from 3 till 7 pm. The staff was absolutely LOVELY, perfect cleaning by a kind and helpful lady, the most helpful recepcionist I happend to meet in the past years and I travel a lot. No stress with a late check out, there is a nice shower room and luggage room. I go for holidays for swimming, to be alone and regain health and energy, I loved every minutes there. When I went to have an early swim, no one blinked an eye despite that the official hours started a bit later. When the safe failed to open they provided a man - not belonging to the hotel - who arrived with a taxi at 8 pm to give a quick solution to open, next day morning the batteries were changed. Quick and efficient. I hope they won't change being "more modern". I plan to go back as soon as possible as often as possible. Thank you all of the staff members for being so kind and helpful, especially the receptionist gentleman who clearly badly overworked but still kept being smily and helpful.

The apartments are just that, they are not 4 or 5 star but have everything you need to have a good holiday. We had room 511 Private balcony that's glass fronted with 2x sunbeds, table and chairs that faces the sun all day Tv, sofa 2x chairs plus dining table. Small but well equipped kitchen Awesome shower 2x single beds, dresser and decent sized wardrobe. Swimming pool, bar & restaurant on the roof Lifts available to every floor however may still have a couple of stairs to climb but not bad Great location with everything you need within 2-10 min walk in both directions. Ie, supermarket, bars, restaurants & beach No hills to get to the hotel, its on a flat road. Beds are ok but the pillows are rubbish. Staff throughout the hotel are very nice and accommodating. AIR CON is €10 a day which is what it is.. don't be tight. There is a fan in the room. Plugs are limited like everywhere abroad so bring an extension lead. All in all I'd come back for a cheap break away

Stayed in August for a week. Basic and slightly dated rooms. However they were immaculately clean and very spacious, has everything you need. The location is FANTASTIC and the balconies AMAZING. You definitely need to get a room with air-con which worked amazing. Large Supermarket at the rear of the hotel and the staff very pleasant. Had a meal in Big Daddies Gill which is located on the roof top, very reasonably priced and would recommend the steak. Definitely recommend and would go back in a heart beat.

Great value for money. It’s in a great location (short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and the bus station which is well connected), the staff are lovely and the facilities were clean and modern. Apartments are spacious and our balcony had a great view over the beach and sea. Drinks at the restaurant/ bar by the pool were lovely and happy hour went down well!

Hotel is excellent the location is perfect for the beach and walking distance to all the bars will definitely come back soon the staff is what makes a hotel the roof top bar serving food all day and the pool is perfect and don't matter if you can't swim they have a life gard on all day
