Hotel Boutique Rivera Del Rio

We stayed at the Mariposa room. It is roomy and nice for the price. The staff are friendly. Breakfasts are good. Location is good; walkable to many restaurants, attractions in romantic zone and Malecon. We will very likely to stay here again when we came back to Puerto Vallarta.

If i could give this a 10 out of 5, i would. It is a destination in itself, full of fascinating conversation pieces and glamorous history! The service is impeccable, from reservations to check in, concierge, rooftop bar, too breakfast. Being greeted with warm scented handtowels to freshen up and fresh guacamole and chips was delightful after the day journey. We were in awe of the lovely lobby and fascinating artworks. Our room “Zelda” was thoughtfully arranged and immaculately clean. The cute little balcony overlooking the river and the tranquil pathway and street scene provided a sweet spot to relax and journal, The rooftop bar and swimming pool has fabulous sunset views. The pool is open late into the night for quiet enjoyment and wow! Floating in that temperate water, watching the shooting stars above, with distant music and chatter from Zona Romántica feels super luxurious. The location is ideal- easily walking distance to the malecon and los Muertos pier, buses to anywhere, and the bustling vibrant neighborhood with its markets and nightlife are just a couple blocks away- yet it also feels private and tucked away on the somewhat private street that veers away from the action. We loved staying here so much, it was sad to leave! I hope Rivera del Rio continues for a long time to be a refuge of throwback glamour and style in Puerto Vallarta! I want to return again and again.

We loved everything about this hotel and are definitely going to stay here again. The staff are great, they are all so friendly and they go out of their way to help you. It is a beautiful hotel with a unique decor located in a quiet area in the Zona Romantica. We loved our room with it’s high ceilings and large patio doors opening onto a large balcony overlooking the river. The hot breakfast with a fresh fruit plate and freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. We enjoyed the rooftop infinity pool and bar, great views and a great place to relax. Having Netflix was a bonus to have in the room.

This hotel exceeded expectations. From the time we arrived, Rico and Grant the hotel concierge/manager were very attentive. They took the time to explain to us about the hotel amenities and what to expect from our stay while our rooms were being set up. They also shared their expertise on what to do and expect on our Puerto Vallarta stay. We could not ask for more from this royal treatment on our very first day. First impressions truly last as it made everything wonderful. As soon as we got our room, we could not believe our eyes. It was huge, the color blue and red was unconventional but it worked. It has all the Victorian Mexican charm of time passed yet modern amenities. Our bathroom has antique trimmings and chandelier but with a glass shower and jacuzzi. Best of all, we had a balcony facing the river and the mountain side. It was astounding. Even our furbaby Sebastian could not be any happier. We are truly satisfied with this hotel, the staff, the amenities, the location, it was just all perfect. From the bottom of our hearts we send our love back. We shall see you again in the future.

This boutique hotel is beautiful and comfortable in a wonderful location. We loved the uniqueness of the rooms, the views, pools, etc. It was very convenient to safely walk all over zone romantica, Centro and more. The entire staff is so kind and helpful.

I highly recommend staying in this hotel. The service is fantastic - we worked with Max and Carolina to do our booking and they were so helpful. All the staff was professional and friendly. The hotel was clean and so charming. Every square inch of the hotel has been well taken care of. We stayed in the Alejandro Suite and it was perfect for our trip. This was a much better lodging situation for us than staying in a resort as this hotel is in a safe neighborhood surrounded by loads of great restaurants and its a walkable distance to shopping and the beach. We will happily come back and stay!

This "off the beaten path" boutique hotel is a plush old residence with amazing decor and tons of character! Exploring the hotel was an event in itself! From our host Caroline greetings us on arrival to our delightful breakfasts in a nook overlooking the river - this was a memorable and fun base to explore the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta. Very good and spot on recommendations from the staff augmented our visit giving us a very safe and comfortable sense of the food and area. And on returning, we were always greeted by Elizabeth - the watch cat!

We did a two night stay at Riviera del Rio in PV on the front end of our Mexico vacation (before heading elsewhere). The stay was too short. We had an absolutely perfect time at this hotel. The communication leading up to our stay was phenomenal - the hotel arranged transport for the airport and very clearly explained the process. We were welcomed in the beautifully appointed lobby by smilingly and welcoming faces. Our room was exquisite. The breakfast was delicious. The service at all outlets of the property was phenomenal. It was perfect, all of it. My wife was celebrating her birthday during our stay and EVERYONE at the property made her feel so special. We LOVED Riviera Del Rio and can not wait to return, and stay longer. Gracias!!

second time visiting, stayed for two weeks: absolute best decision. so much better than an all inclusive! located amidst the best restaurants and bars in pv but far enough from the crazy! 2 minute walk to the malecon. the staff: what can i say , everyone from security to maintenance front desk chambermaids every one smiles, does their job to perfection. 3 pools to choose from, gorgeous fresh hot breakfast included. the rooms are stunning, air conditioned decorated to inspire and spotless
