Went here for dinner with my wife on the final night of our honeymoon and had an excellent experience. The views were spectacular and the food delicious. This place is more expensive than many restaurants in PV but well worth it in my opinion. Cannot recommend this place enough whether you want to go out for a romantic outing, a birthday, or even just to treat yourself to a nice meal. Debit/credit cards were also accepted which is nice given how many restaurants in the area seemed to be cash only. I would also like to give a special shout out to our server Raul. He was very friendly and went out of his way to make our experience special from taking a photo for my wife and me, having the mariachi band play a special song for us, and bringing out a dessert to commemorate the occasion. Can't thank him enough and was shocked to learn he was relatively new to their team given how excellent of a job he did. I would have assumed he has been there for years with how polished the experience was. All said 5/5 and whether you're local and have never been, or travelers like us you should add this to your list.

The entire staff at Hacienda San Angel was incredibly attentive throughout our stay, ensuring everything was perfect. It was very pleasant to stay in a spacious, unique room that offered a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean—definitely not your typical cookie-cutter hotel room. But the highlight of our visit was, without a doubt, the food. The menu is incredible, and the world-class chefs delivered meal after meal that was simply exceptional. Every dish I tried was a 10/10. The Chilean sea bass with mashed potatoes and baby carrots was so amazing, I ordered it two nights in a row! For breakfast, I savored the red chilaquiles, accompanied by fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. And the red snapper fish tacos for lunch? Simply the best I’ve ever had. I can't wait to return!

My friends and I randomly booked this place for one night before we headed to Sayulita. We were SO delighted and impressed by this place. It was such a gem! The staff was amazing and the pack of small dogs that work there are so cute. 10/10 would stay again.

We attempted to increase our reservation from 4 to 6 people on a Monday night. Yes, it was the last night of restaurant week, but the restaurant was still not full upon arrival. I first told there was not space available as guests with reservations at 7PM, our time as well, usually stay until 11PM. That was definitely not the case. I have been home since 9:30 PM and we were one of the last tables to depart the restaurant. I got a call back saying there was space for 6, but for every person that was a no show, there would a $35 USD cancellation fee. That is outrageous! This is low season, not Christmas/New Years week. Our waiter requested we pay cash pesos for the tip and we obliged. He then proceeded to count the tip at the table in front of us. Would he have complained if it was not to his liking? It's very unfortunate as the food and abienance were terrific, but the operational management of the restaurant was a disaster. This was my first visit and I am sad to say I will not return. There are too many great restaurants in PV that actually appreciate the customers that will keep me from returning. Get a clue and DO BETTER!

The best experience I have had in a long time. Every aspect of the experience is top notch. They know what they’re doing. It’s one of the best experiences you’ll ever have. I highly recommend it. You feel totally comfortable from the moment you enter and until you depart.

What a wonderful experience! My son took me to Hacienda San Angel for my birthday and it was one of the best dinners I've ever had. The hacienda is absolutely beautiful and the views from the restaurant are lovely. The Mariachi Band was one of the best I've ever heard and I have travelled extensively in Mexico. I actually lived for a time in Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City. As for the food it was gorgeous! It was beautifully presented and the taste did not disappoint. Also, kudos out to the service team. They were perfect, not overbearing but always there when we wanted or needed something. This is a restaurant not to be missed if you go to Puerto Vallarta.

This was a true treat to once again dine at Hacienda San Angel. We were here with our dear friends. You can’t even imagine from the street that paradise awaits you on the other side of these grand wood doors. This is a Mexican house that offers hotel rooms and an out of this world dining experience including a superb mariachi band where everyone participates in the singing. The service and food are exquisite and the view of Puerto Vallarta is incomparable. Put this on your list as a highlight of your stay! Btw, a brand new elevator was available and railings for steps were accessible.

This small hotel is a combination of separate houses into a seamless and beautiful location. There are three pools and lots of places to sit and relax. The food is absolutely delicious and we enjoyed our continental breakfast on our terrace each morning. We had dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, which is highly recommended for good reason - we had one of the best meals we’ve ever had in their restaurant. Thank you Luis for making our stay memorable.

An oasis hidden behind simple walls. We saw this place while out on a walk in old Puerto Vallarta and decided to give it a try if we ever returned. Very expensive so this was to be a once in a lifetime trip, but we now plan to return. The property is a work of art with no detail spared. The staff are very professional and eager to please. The room, pools, grounds are breathtaking to the extent that you could stay in all day. Makes other high end hotels look like unsophisticated in comparison.
