Occidental Menorca

The occidental team were amazing!! Shout out to Pepe, Guacamole, Juan, Luna, cappuccino and all the other staff!! All very friendly and get you involved! Food and drink also good - we had the all inclusive and a good selection of food and drink every day. Enjoyed our stay here would definitely return!

Where to start, the meal,s were absolutely awful buffet style with no cover, s on,the flies were everywhere. Without exception was always cold even the breakfast. But the worst thing, pigeons inside the dining room, the staff thought it was hilarious. The beer in the bar were served in small plastic cups.With out fault the staff are hopeless. Playing continuously Spanish music.

Hotel very clean and tidy staff very friendly and helpful from reception to bar staff and restaurant. Entertainment team friendly and funny, but do like to cheat a little

One of the worst holidays I ever had. There were ants in my dirty room. I was told they had had a problems with ants and it was dismissed. The shower in the bathroom was dismal and the hairdresser was positioned so low, it was difficult to use when look in in the mirror. The ceiling was coming down in the toilet and the hotel was extremely noisy. The balcony was dark and overlooking the wall of the next block of apartments. I had a handbag stolen from my room to add to my disastrous holiday and was given £100 by Jet2. My advice is to avoid this hotel if you have 4* expectations

Just got back from a great 5 day break at the Occidental Menorca and I would recommend this hotel for those looking for a nice spot for families or a friends break. The resort is nice with colourful buildings and a courtyard style. We were in building four at the rear of the hotel overlooking a quiet side road with a field/distant sea view to the right. Apart from the occasional bus passing we were uninterrupted and with the balcony door closed, it was very quiet. I stayed in a double room with a friend and this was clean, of adequate size and the bed was comfortable. The cleaners come round every day and do a great job to freshen up the room. The pools in the main part of the resort are very nice and are relatively shallow which is good for kids. There are 2 infinity style pools which are nice as well as a small kids pool. If you head down the reception steps and across a path outside, scan your room key and this takes you over to the other half of the resort with another pool and tennis/volleyball courts. The food was very nice, it was varied for the first few days but then became a little repetitive but can’t complain about the quality. Waiters were friendly. The entertainment was great, funny and impressive shows e.g. magic and Disney character acts and the mini disco was great for kids. This is a very family geared hotel so not the most ideal for a quiet couples break as lots of small children but didn’t bother us. Hotel is near a nice sandy beach (although sea is full of thick black seaweed covering the floor) and a few shops and restaurants, bus stop outside reception can take you to Mahon for under 2 euros which is a very nice area to visit- harbour boat trips, nice shops and restaurants. Overall would recommend this hotel to families or friends, we had a lovely stay here ps. Visit the spa if you can, a little expensive but lovely!

We stayed here as a family of 3 mid October- the last week it was open. It was a shame as the family pool part was closed (we were not aware of this as no information on the tui website) which was a shame as we had our 2 year old with us. Nice food. Nice staff. Close transfer from airport. Rooms Nice and bed could be more comfortable.
