Sterling Puri

This hotel so so. This hotel very bad part is early check out this one I hate it.

Puri is my annual Christmas pilgrimage and for the last 10 years I have been staying in Sterling only. Over the last few years my experience has been mixed. In the past As a member I have stayed in minuscule guest rooms (other rooms were not available) I have stayed in studio rooms and I have stayed in 2BR rooms (now discontinued) also. This time I booked early (6 months back) and got my desired room, 1BR. The room was clean (sans a few broken latches) sheets were spotless, toilet was well stocked and clean (devoid of any smell, which used to bother us in the past) The service as usual was spot on, people are highly motivated and always smiling and greeting you. Our room was not ready when we were checking in (not the resort’s fault, we wanted a ground floor room, whichI had not informed earlier) so we went straight for lunch. In the past years we never dined at Utkala Restaurant (in house) because we had some bad experiences, we always dined outside (be it in The BNR or Chung Wah or Sonar Bangla). But this year everything changed. The food quality was superb and the service was even better. We always order ala-carte (buffet in my opinion leads to over-eating and wastage). The food was prepared fresh (with fresh ingredients) and served with lots of of Love. Over a period of 4 days we had among others, mutton (handi mutton), Lobster (butter garlic) Chicken(curry and butter chicken), paneer etc. The taste, quantity and presentation was spot on. Best part of the dining experience was the service. Apart from the ever efficient Rahim (a sterling puri veteran) I would call out Lijalin for being hard working, efficient, ever smiling. Because of her and the food, this year all our food were in Utkala Restaurant. There is an overall improvement in the infrastructure of the resort. Now they are even providing chairs and umbrellas in the beach (a much needed service) the gardens are well maintained, flowers blooming and fragrance soothes you. There were some issues regarding making up of bed at night (it took more than 40 min after my request) but sometimes this happens. Overall a wonderful experience

had a really good stay at Sterling puri the staff, at hospitality,kitchen and restaurant ( Utkal) were super helpful. special shout out to the manager Vignesh, the super helpful hospitality person Prateek as well as the entire kitchen staff ( esp Chef S.Sajal) for our special requests for food for our child when he was unwell. about the hotel: while it is located one of the extreme ends of the city, getting to it from Bhubaneswar airport is convenient, as one doesn't have to face city traffic. also, the last 50 metres of the road to the hotel is dug up due to a flyover construction.. but once inside, it's a little oasis. the pool is well maintained and the a/c play area is nice and cozy.. the rooms are very clean and tidy. and the sea view rooms and suites (where we got a chance to stay) have a fabulous view. and room service is quick and spot on.. kudos to the team. improvement suggestion: the approach to the beach is uneven, there's a rickety bridge in need for maintenance and the hotel needs to ensure the clean-up of the beach stretch adjacent to the hotel. also, the stagnant water between the hotel and the beach needs constant treatment, as it's a breeding ground for mosquitoes which come into the hotel in the evening. overall a very pleasant stay.

What an excellent stay and hospitality one could ever look for !! A perfect ambience be at the hotel, the restaurant, Co ordinal staff, and always ready to provide the required support. They go an extra mile to provide the required comfort .. A special mention here for Me Biswajit Mishra who was instrumental in providing the last minute room booking.. would recommend everyone to do plan a stay at get the glimpse of Jagannath puri ji at the very doorstep before the entrance..will be surely visiting the hotel again ..Jai Jagannath ji

Sterling Resort, Puri is a well designed place with a lot of amenities to keep tourists entertained. Good & sumptuous food is served, rooms are neat & clean. Swimming pool is well maintained. This is an ideal place for marriages & other functions. The proximity to the beach also makes it an attractive destination. Staff are courteous

We visited Puri during Karthik to visit Jagannath temple and staying in sterling made our experience extremely beautiful and heartwarming. Staff were friendly, welcoming and went above our expectations all the time. Parteek and his team was really helpful. The view from resort and sea beach view during sunrise and sunset was calming. There was a staff at the beach to keep chairs and umbrellas. Don’t forget to opt for breakfast when you book your stay. It’s one of the best breakfast buffet I have had. I will definitely recommend Sterling to anyone who visits Puri. Cheers, Priyanka Jha
