The pillow was flupuest and service was good ..The staf behavior was also polite mamta mam behavior was also polite helped .the hotel wass clean the hotel surrounding was also cleaned the swming pool was also cleaned...the all other staff where good

Hotel location is good and staff is excellent Specially Ms Mamta at the front desk. Rooms are very big neat and clean. Food at The restaurant was also very good. Golden beach (private beach) is well maintained and very clean is 5 minutes from Hotel if you take a tuktuk (e rickshaw) or auto. Temple is 10 minutes from the hotel in tuktuk. I stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Once again thank you all the staff for taking such good care of your guests.

Excellent experience, as always. Regal rooms, very well maintained. Restaurant food is amazing, Chef is superb. Special thanks to Mr Shankar Rao, who is very attentive, polite and efficient. We would love to be back whenever we are in Puri.

I loved this property! It has alot of charm! I felt the years gone by here at this heritage property. It seems like it was refurbished and they did a very tasteful job. It's a beautiful property. The rooms were very clean and spacious. I had an upstairs end room and I could sit outside and listen to the horns honking and the street activity of Puri life. This hotel has a wonderful restaurant. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the dinner service was excellent. The staff and the manager make the property what is , a wonderful cultural experience in Puri. I had special needs and the manager totally took good care of me.

I regret that I didn’t stay longer at BNR Chanakya. My first memories of this hotel are more than 4 decades ago when I was visiting Puri and was told that this hotel is not easily available for booking. I found the place online and booked it this time with a click. The property looks like an old British property with spacious verandah running across the face of the hotel with black and white tiles to give it a classic old time look. The garden in front is immaculate with massive marigolds and potted merigolds planted across the borders of the garden. The staff was warm and attentive. Jhuma and Samay at the reception are wonderful and warm hosts who will help with any possible query or request you might have. I also liked the fact that the property is a bit away from the noise of the main beach and offers all the facilities which you might need at a hotel. Please mind that every trip to the temple will cost you 200 rupees too and fro. So, if you don’t want that cost added to your budget, you might want to look somewhere else. Otherwise my bottom dollar goes to this property for size of the rooms, breakfast choice and overall feel of the hotel.

Absolutely stunning hotel with regal, colonial architecture and ambience. Beautiful rooms, unusually large. Delicious breakfast with great variety. Decent continental food for dinner. Lovely, cosy and private pool and poolside. Loved our stay. 2 main drawbacks- no beach access/sea view- one block behind the sea; and service/staff training could be better and faster. Overall, you realise this isn't a 5 star hotel, but wonderful nonetheless.

Very beautiful and spacious property. Newly renovated and its usually painted and maintained regularly. Very near to the station in Puri. Rooms have the latest and modern furnishings but the old and aesthetic value still exists. Best part was the food. We tried Indian, continental, Thai and Chinese. All of the dishes were exquisite. There was no room for complaints at all in any of the items. There is a quite beach just 500 m from here too.

From the property, to the food, to the rooms, everything was good! It is hard to find such spacious rooms nowadays. The property reminds you of the old British charm with actual pictures and ambience.The restaurant has slow service, although the food is worth the wait. The only thing that could use some maintenance is the bathrooms.The gardens,pools and the corridors provide excellent photography spots . We also stayed in another hotel in Puri almost at the same price but Chanaya BR was much better.So if you have an option do stay here.
