Fairfield Inn & Suites Tacoma Puyallup

Tasha who works at night is rude. She seen my room number calling so she just answers and hangs up. I called asking for an extra blanket and she said “come down and get it” she’s busy. I am a Titanium and will never stay here again !!!! Tasha has no manners. Oh and I told her I found a half drinking Gatorade in my fridge and she said “throw it away” asked for a manager and she said they’re not here on the weekends.

We had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, and Maya, the front office manager, truly went above and beyond to assist us with our requests-she's a real gem! Our room was clean and comfortable.We felt well taken care of throughout our stay, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Thank you Maya and the team!!!! We will definitely be coming back! :)

Clean accommodations, friendly staff! The location is situated in a central part of Puyallup. I found my room to be very nice, comfortable and spacious. Sleep quality was good and I liked the roomy bathroom. Free breakfast, the usual type stuff … including hot oatmeal which I loved! Nice bold coffee, another plus. The staff here is super nice, welcoming and helpful!

This is a bit of a tough one. Somewhere between 3 and 4 but mainly because it is a noisy place. Online reservation was easy. Hotel staff was very nice start to finish. The front desk checked us in quickly and upgraded us from a king to a king suite for same cost when we asked for the quietest room available. Housekeeping was attentive. Able to get extra pillows and a blanket quickly. All the staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. Reasonable variety although waffles were inedible the day I tried to eat them and one day they ran out of coffee and another day they ran out of hot water for tea. But you know it is hard to be too picky about continental breakfast in a hotel lobby. Big issue for us was this is a noisy hotel. It is right on the freeway and as you walk around the building, you realize there is not a room that is not affected by the noise. And the AC settings are such that there is not "fan on" setting for white noise. If you are a heavy sleeper, add a star to the rating.

I stayed here for business for a couple of nights. About 3 months later they send me an invoice and charged my credit card. It was about 80 USD. Finally I found something to do on a boring day of and called them to clarify this obvious mistake A lady was kind enough to look it up. It was a no-show charge. Why, for when or a reservation number for which I didn't show, she could not give me. But she offered to have her manager call me back when she had time. Not willing to spend more time, I had the credit card company take care of it. No doubt, mistakes are made, but you then apologize and do not make your customer jump through hoops to fix it. Even after the credit card company had it fix, they did not reach out. I recommend everyone staying here to watch their statements for a few months after.

Stayed here 4 years ago and it was wonderful, got cookies and bottled water upon check in, it was super clean. In 4 years hotel and service deteriorated. No cookies or water this time, but staff is friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights, our room was on 5th floor overlooking the highway and it was noisy. Bed was comfortable but super squeaky. Bathtub faucet was constantly leaking, it was annoying and loud. Cleaning staff should have reported this. Speaking of cleaning, it needs finer touch, e.g. elevator is full of streaks. Breakfast was disappointing, no bread for toast or just plain eggs, had to pick eggs out of biscuits and croissant. Coffee was great. Tons of shopping near by.

This hotel was so clean and so easy to access with staff that was incredibly helpful. I was there two days and went in the pool five times. There was a wonderful shower in the bathroom off the pool so you can go in there and change and be ready to go from the pool instead of having to go back up to your room. The breakfast was outstanding. They had vegan choices, vegetarian choices and the famous waffles, fresh fruit, granola, and bacon and eggs or sausage. They had all the juices and coffee 24 seven I thought it was a fabulous stay and would go there again.

UPDATED REVIEW to a review I wrote last year around the same time. This visit was MUCH better. Improvements in all areas. We were so warmly greeted at our very late 11:30 pm check in - happily supplied with 2 bottles of water. Room was clean, comfortable with plenty of towels (last year, towels were scant). All staff we encountered during our stay were wonderful. I used the gym and it was fine. Beds comfortable. All aspects of our stay were great. I would highly recommend if in the area and would happily return!

Booked this hotel to visit the Washington State Fair. The location would have been great (able to walk to and from the Fair) however, they overbooked the hotel and cancelled my reservation. WITH NO NOTICE UNTIL I SHOWED UP AT THE HOTEL. I had booked 2 MONTHS in advance. You would think that with 2 MONTHS notice you could give me a warning...... They offered to put me at another "sister" hotel (the Holiday Inn) which was in the middle of nowhere & certainly not walking distance. Customer service was terrible and no help with the situation. I won't be staying at Marriott hotels any longer. This was a terrible experience and Marriott should be ashamed of themselves.
