Jaz Soma Beach

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

The hotel and staff are absolutely amazing! The grounds are well maintained and everywhere is so clean. If you have any concerns, staff will go out of their way to ensure things are to your liking. Massive shout out to Reda and Mohammed in the lounge bar. Ahmed at the pool - amazing, Karim fab - everyone was so lovely. Only suggestion I have: The pink pool party - I'm only 5 foot and unable to touch the bottom of the pool so was not able to join in. Drinks - would be nice to have a little more choice; amaretto or malibu (coconut). Would definitely recommend this hotel resort!!!!

Just landed back home from a wonderful holiday .. excellent hotel , clean rooms, which were cleaned daily .. food choice excellent .. staff were superb throughout our stay ,always on hand to help with any issue you may have .. my only disappointment was the entertainment on a night .. the entertainment staff were superb but not a lot of entertainment for couples without children. Bar near the beach could have had entertainment on like discos, karaoke etc.. but overall loved the hotel . Would highly recommend 👌

Above and beyond customer service at this hotel. Loved that this was a small resort we had a fabulous time. We were a family of 6 four adults and two children 7 and 4. Food was fabulous I defy anyone to not find something and I am sure the chef would go out of his way to accommodate special diets anyway. Only negative is some drinks were flat and not all cocktails were that brilliant but those we liked were wonderful

This is an outstanding resort, which provides the perfect place for a vacation, whether a couple or family with kids or teenagers. My wife and I came here for three nights. We didn’t want to leave. The staff is absolutely amazing. Every one of the staff works diligently to make every guest feel at home and totally satisfied. From the top management team (Mohammed Salama, Rahim, Abdul Rahman and many others) to the other team members (so many we can’t even mention all), we had a terrific vacation. Frankly, I travel quite often and see many places, but I’d come again here in a heart beat. Next time I would just stay longer. Food is good with lots of variety, as well several places to eat. Just excellent overall. Highly recommended.

We have just spent 11 days at this hotel and wow! This did not disappoint in anyway. Everywhere is super clean including rooms, pool area and bar/ restaurant areas. Staff are absolutely fantastic, they will go above and beyond to make your holiday amazing. Food is great, there is plenty of choice and also something for everyone. For even fussy eaters. Animation team keep you busy throughout the day with plenty of activities and massive shoutout to Steve, Matthew and Enzo who really interacted with us and everyone else. Beach was always busy and could not really get a sunbed down there unless you got up super early however we would always get a sun bed by the pool easily. The pool staff are amazing, always offering drinks and making sure everything is okay.

Great food, staff, beach, pool and animation team! We had amazing time, this is our 2nd time here and always exceed our expectations! Special thanks to Mr. Raheem who made sure we had excellent stay, very friendly, professional and for caring genuinely about our happiness! Also thanks to Mr. Korolos at the main restaurant and Mr. Awaad from beach restaurant for their friendly and professional attitude! Overall we really appreciate your efforts and shout out to the animation team as well!

Great hotel..reception is the best with ahmed gemal top.food is still good still a little reverse from outstanding 3 years ago..a bit of repetitive maybe a new international plate or 2 from time to time sill matter!! Still better then anything other we tried!

One of the best hotels we have been to. It’s our first time & definitely not the last. The hotel staff is well trained & very helpful on all aspects. Service is above & beyond everywhere “lobby, restaurants, beach, pool, rooms & bar “. Service is really incredible Variety & quality of food is excellent 💯. Animation team & shows are amazing & out of the box. I won’t specify or highlight names cause all the employees are extremely superb. “Ms.Massouda” who is always there for all the guests with her smile & decent way. 💯💯Perfect choice
