Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel & Spa, 3 Star

I chose this hotel for our family stay as it was great value for money. The property did not dissappoint and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. Chatting to Fazil he insisted we try an authentic creole family feast at the Horizon resturant down on the beach on our last night. It was a real treat! Sabrinda was the lady that took care of our room and each day made animals out of our towels. Nothing was too much of an effort for the staff and the gardens and areas around the hotel are really well kept.

We stayed here from Feb 20 to March 08 and had the most relaxing and wonderful time at this beautiful place. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely reception staff and as breakfast had a little time remaining we were given a table before checking in. Our room had been made ready for our arrival although 4 hours before check in. The facilities are well laid out with just a few steps to the bar on the beach and main bar next to pool,restaurant and entertainment stage. The beach has pristine white sand which is cleaned daily and clear waters. We stayed in room 404 and had a lovely view of the gardens and sea. It was kept immaculate by our maid Kajal who would make animals from the towels and leave at the foot of the bed. At the pool and beach bars we were kept refreshed and entertained by Mitchun Elvis and Neelesh who do such a fantastic job interacting with the guests. The buffet food is very good and always something to enjoy. We had a meal at Horizon the restaurant on the beach for a supplement which was delicious but certainly too much for us to eat so well worth the extra. The nightly entertainment of local singers and dancers was very good. If you have any requests or concerns just find Faisal who is the go to man. He will sort out anything the best way he can and is a big asset to the hotel. In short. This is a hidden gem where although it is rated at 3 stars the fantastic staff give you a 5 star experience. We will definitely be returning again to this beautiful resort and reuniting with new made friends at our home from home.

Very relaxing. The stuff made us feel so welcome. The weather in the winter time on this side of the island is a bit unpredictable and can be windy on the beach.

Everyone is super welcoming, kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and compliments the landscape. It was busy but never felt crowded. Everything is very clean. The food and drinks were good. The room is spacious and comfortable - we stayed 3 people in one room. We had a fabulous time! Thank you Veranda!

I was at the hotel with my family for a weekend getaway in May 2025 and it was a pleasant stay. Rooms are kept clean and tidy. A good variety of food is available at the main restaurant. We enjoyed the ambience of Friday evening entertainment which showcased different facets of Mauritian culture. Drinks prepared at the main bar near the pool were fantastic. Special thanks to Mr Kewal and team who did their best to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Hospitality displayed by all staff is indeed commendable. The swimming pool only should be cleaned more thoroughly and chairs at the main restaurant require some upgrading. Overall, it's a very good hotel and value for money.
