Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel & Spa, 3 Star

I chose this hotel for our family stay as it was great value for money. The property did not dissappoint and the staff went out of their way to accomodate us. Chatting to Fazil he insisted we try an authentic creole family feast at the Horizon resturant down on the beach on our last night. It was a real treat! Sabrinda was the lady that took care of our room and each day made animals out of our towels. Nothing was too much of an effort for the staff and the gardens and areas around the hotel are really well kept.

We stayed here from Feb 20 to March 08 and had the most relaxing and wonderful time at this beautiful place. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely reception staff and as breakfast had a little time remaining we were given a table before checking in. Our room had been made ready for our arrival although 4 hours before check in. The facilities are well laid out with just a few steps to the bar on the beach and main bar next to pool,restaurant and entertainment stage. The beach has pristine white sand which is cleaned daily and clear waters. We stayed in room 404 and had a lovely view of the gardens and sea. It was kept immaculate by our maid Kajal who would make animals from the towels and leave at the foot of the bed. At the pool and beach bars we were kept refreshed and entertained by Mitchun Elvis and Neelesh who do such a fantastic job interacting with the guests. The buffet food is very good and always something to enjoy. We had a meal at Horizon the restaurant on the beach for a supplement which was delicious but certainly too much for us to eat so well worth the extra. The nightly entertainment of local singers and dancers was very good. If you have any requests or concerns just find Faisal who is the go to man. He will sort out anything the best way he can and is a big asset to the hotel. In short. This is a hidden gem where although it is rated at 3 stars the fantastic staff give you a 5 star experience. We will definitely be returning again to this beautiful resort and reuniting with new made friends at our home from home.

We went to Veranda Palmar Hotel for my brother’s birthday dinner with the family, and we were welcomed so warmly Akilen, Yash, Vishchaye, Yashveer, Yogesh. Their kindness and friendly service really made the evening special. They took such good care of us and made sure everything went smoothly. Truly a memorable experience with amazing food & drinks— thank you for making the celebration so enjoyable!"

I had a wonderful stay at Veranda Palmar Beach, 3-star hotel. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel very welcome and cared for. A big thank you to the Guest Service team (Kiran, Adriana, kewal and Zuhur) who were always smiling, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience special. At the restaurant, SAM was excellent – friendly, efficient, and always ensuring we had a great dining experience with delicious food. The bar team (Yanish) deserves a mention as well, always cheerful and serving with such great energy, making evenings very enjoyable. The Boat House staffs (Vishal and Volbere) were fantastic too – helpful, professional, and ensuring all activities were safe and fun. It added a lot of excitement to the stay. I also really enjoyed the fruit bar, especially the refreshing cucumber and the pineapple confit – a perfect touch during the hot days. Lastly, the Kids Club (Charlene) did an amazing job keeping the little one happy and entertained, which made the holiday even more relaxing and enjoyable for the whole family. Things that could be improved: A wider selection of food at the buffet, along with more attention to cleanliness around the buffet area. An a la carte option included in the All-Inclusive Package would add more variety, and the “Indulgence” charge extra. More evening entertainment would make the nights livelier and enjoyable for guests. Overall, I had a really good stay at Veranda Palmar. The hotel may be 3-star, but the service and warmth of the staff are definitely 5-star. I would happily come back again.

I have just returned from Mauritius and the Veranda Palmar Hotel. Mauritius exceeded my expectations, the country is beautiful and the people friendly. Veranda Palma is situated on a long white beach for walks, the sea out front was calm for swimming and the sand soft. Walking to the left of the hotel was best. We stayed in a beach front comfort room, the room was spacious and cleaned daily. The breakfast varied, fresh eggs cooked to your liking, fresh bread, pastries and fruit. Birds do fly around the tables but is sort of adds to the charm of the place and we rather enjoyed watching them. We had a hot stone massage at the spa, very enjoyable and relaxing. All staff were helpful and friendly. We booked private taxi drivers to see the island, booked via Marine from Summer Times, we had driver Yougle take us to the north and south, he was very knowledgeable and we learnt the islands history on route to sites. I would definitely return to Mauritius and to this hotel, big thank you to all staff!
