White Point Beach Resort

Simply unforgettable. Like Hawaii in Canada, but on the East Coast. A quaint, beautiful little spot that immediately drains away your stress. We went with our family and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. The manager, Andy, ensured our needs were attended to and provided a warm and gracious stay. There was fantastic live music both nights we stayed. And the beach has to be seen to be believed. Like Hawaii sands. But in Nova Scotia. Stay in a cottage, book early, and stay long. Pools, great food, and wonderful people. A must-go, and for families in particular! My sincerest thanks to everyone that made our stay memorable.

My wife and I stayed at White Point this past weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property is stunning, with plenty of activities to enjoy. We brought our dogs, as they offer pet-friendly cottages overlooking the ocean. It was the perfect getaway, with a beautiful beach and a picturesque setting. One of the highlights was the abundance of wild bunny rabbits, which my wife loved feeding with complimentary rabbit food from the front desk. Our dinner reservations at 7:15 were fantastic. I had the pan-fried halibut, while my wife enjoyed the green pea risotto. The evening was enhanced by a talented live singer who performed both maritime classics and modern songs. We ended the night with a lovely walk on the beach and some stargazing. Our stay was a 10/10, and we highly recommend White Point for both family vacations and romantic getaways. Thank you, White Point—we can't wait to visit again soon!

Beautiful beach but dining has sadly gone downhill. We haven't been here in 7 years and decided to give it another try. We booked this back in January for a 2 night ocean front cottage, which was decent, set back from the boardwalk so nice and private. 1 single bed and a smaller than double bed in bedroom which was a tight squeeze for a couple (good thing I am crazy about my husband). We brought fruit, juice, muffins, sandwiches and salads in our cooler as we planned on only the first night dinner at the Lodge - we were glad we did this. While the staff are great (shout out to Catherine and Kole!) there are just not enough of them. It was a beautiful summer evening and we had booked our dinner well in advance, so were looking forward to dining on the deck overlooking the beautiful beach, but sadly - were not able to eat outside as they had closed the deck saying not enough staff. They tried to give us a crummy table in the middle of the noisy restaurant, we waited for a water view table so we could at least see the outside. 35 mins to get even a pre-dinner drink and my dinner review will be separate under Elliot's Restaurant to be fair. This is a great place for families, if you can afford it - the beach is gorgeous if you are blessed with good weather but honestly these are Fairmont prices for less than Fairmont accomodations.

My wife and I (seniors) booked a 2 day stay during our 10 day road trip in Nova Scotia. On-line information showed a pretty amazing site with great food options. The food was important as it is quite isolated and there are no other options nearby. Beyond a king room, we didn't know what our room would be. Room 132 was in a 6 unit building a short walk from the main lodge with a view of an estuary through trees. There was a small deck but it was quite dirty as were the 2 chairs. We did not use it. The room was comfortable but not quite clean enough. (hairs of previous occupant in bathroom, floors not clean). There was no luggage rack in the room. Certainly not luxury. Our first dinner there was nothing special. We enjoyed the live music in the lounge afterwards. Breakfast the following morning was terrible. A most aweful buffet was presented as the only option. As I said, there is nowhere else to go. The selection would have been about the same as a "breakfast included" budget motel except that several food trays were empty and remained so. There was only bread crusts left for toast. I'm sure the sausages were cooked but their appearance looked uncooked. Most unappealing. The bacon, when available, was undercooked. Some juice container were empty. There was a lot of unhappy people. For dinner that evening, I has a quiche entre. It was a meagre portion of greens with an undetectable dressing along side a small, dry and stale piece of quiche. I asked the server to take the quiche back and tell the chef they should be ashamed of themself. The meal was replaced with a bowl of lobster bisque, as I requested. The bread served at dinner is a squishy white and tasteless bun. The service was good in the restaurant and lounge. At the bar, I asked for real cream to have with our room coffee and it was readily provided. The indoor pool was an attraction for us. When we first approached the pool, signs said there were no towels available. Later, their were towels but you were asked to take only one. They were too small to actually wrap around you. Ocean front cottages are very rustic looking on the outside and they have no ocean view as there is a high burm at the shore line. The ocean beach walk was nice. This resort has more of a summer camp feel than the lux resort it is promoted as. Maintenace seems neglected. The vegetable garden, shown on the site map, was once a cluster of raised wooded box beds. They are all falling apart and abandoned. Don't expect a lux stay here.

Beds are very comfy, well stocked kitchen and all staff are well trained and friendly. You can cook or eat in the restaurant or lounge. Great food and drinks . Whether you want to relax or hike in the wooded areas, listen to the waves crashing by the sea or just get away from the city this resort has it all.

We stayed in a glome and it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return. The views were spectacular. The glome is private. The kitchenette and BBQ is perfect if u want to bring your own food. Staff was friendly and professional. The food in both the lounge and dining area was great.

My husband and I decided to do a last minute overnight stay for my birthday! We stayed in one of the lakeside glomes, upon arriving Stan and Jen made a few changes to make our stay perfect! The glomes are beautifully located and well equipped with everything you could need!! Each glomes is tastefully decorated and furnished, with every need thought of right down to Moulton Brown bathroom amenities,beds are super comfy and the private outdoor deck, bbq and hottub were the icing on the cake! The only thing that disappointed was having to leave! Such a lovely place to unwind and relax

It was a different experience to most of our stays. We stayed in one of the rooms fairly close to the main reception. It was clean and tidy and it had a balcony from where you could see the ocean. There is a laundry for guests to use which is chargeable but you will need dollar coins. Food in the bar was good .Dip your feet in the can if you are brave enough, once you get used to it it’s refreshing

The setting of the resort next to a beautiful beach is the best bit about this. Scratch the surface and the resort (away from the main building which was rebuilt in 2012 due to a fire) is very tired and needs money investing in it to bring it up to a good standard. Our cabin was overcrowded with old furniture that it was diffucult to move around. The upholstered chairs were grubby and needed recovering. The furniture needs painting in modern colours. The laundry….well two machines and three driers for the whole resort??? Scruffy laundry and nowhere to do any hand washing or hang up the laundry to line dry.
