Mohican Resort Motel, Conveniently Located to All Lake George Attractions

Found two live bed bugs upon arrival and immediate search of the room. New owner tried to argue with me saying it was a beetle and this is an "open area" whatever that means. He will try to use his language as a barrier and argue with you. Only after telling him I've been in maintenance for 10 years did he acknowledge it was in fact BED BUGS. We left immediately, he did give us a refund but still made us pay $20 credit card fee??? Absurd. New owners have let this place go down hill fast which is a shame because we have been bringing our child here for years. He then goes on Google reviews and calls you a liar and a fraud , he thinks people are out to get him and that pointing out that they have found bed bugs is really a plot to "defame his business" . What a joke and a terrible experience!

We reserved a second floor room about 1 year in advance, I verified the second floor location several times before arrival (have had problems in the past at other resorts with kids making a lot of noise when we were on a ground floor). Upon arrival we were given a ground floor room with no explanation, sure enough 2 separate families were above us during our stay and it sounded like their kids were jumping on the floor. Very few dishes, no pots, pans, bakeware. We expected and always were provided with a lot more than this when booking a room with a "full" kitchen. The lady at the desk said that these items weren't provided anymore, they should have told us and we could have brought stuff from home. On the bright side the staff was very nice and helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff. Two pools and outdoor rec area. Large room. Fire pit. Close enough to walk to town but no sidewalk. Continental breakfast. Large ice machine available. Large parking lot. Easy to check in and out. Easy to find with GPS.

this is a nice motel. as a lot of people said, it is clean, the bathroom is so big, i like it. the thing i like the mostly is the hand hold shower, it is so convenience for washing hair alone. The room itself is nice but a bit outdated fashion. room is big, but light is dim. the bed and the pillow is not so comfortable to us, we wake up a few times. the breakfast is very simple, just bagel, cereal, milk, tea coffee.......but this is a surprise for us as we didn't notice the price is including breakfast. Environment is very nice and claim, there a lot of space to walk around, there is 2 pool, you can easily have fun here. also it is so close to outlet mall, you can walk there.........lovely location

Staff were so friendly I want to be nice but really need to share info so people have a chance to know. IDK why rated excellent. Trip advisor used to have more acua rate reviews Pretty old, missing lightbulb HOT, no AC control. Only 1 fan for 2 BR is biggest complaint. Cooler with open window but then no privacy. Clean but didn’t want to walk on old rug barefoot. Several things in game room broken so no working pool table, change machine and main video game. Small pools, 4-5ft indoors, 1 jet and no heat control for hot tub. Plenty of towels. Balcony on 2nd floor not covered so rain and gutter leave it wet run so unusable to me. Quiet though I guess that depends on guests. Overall we didn’t have to leave, again very friendly, so acceptable but : (

My husband and I stayed here from July 31 - Aug 2 for our 1st wedding anniversary. We had previously stayed here last year as newlyweds and both times were spent in the honeymoon suite. The Mohican Motel is the ONLY motel we could find in/near LG with a jacuzzi tub in the room that wasn't insanely overpriced. The motel has been under new management for the last 2+ years and they have been doing a beautiful job renovating and adding new amenities (game room and gym equipment). The rooms and indoor pool area have all been freshly painted and upgraded. All areas of the motel were pristinely clean and comfortable and smelled nice. The staff are friendly and accommodating and remembered us from last year. They went above and beyond to surprise us with balloons, anniversary decorations, champagne, and a signed card from all the staff waiting for us in our room. It was such a kind, thoughtful gesture and made us feel welcomed and special....especially Patrick, Tamika, and April. They also provide breakfast every morning for all guests with many options to choose from. We highly recommend Mohican Motel if you're looking for a reasonably priced and lovely place to stay during your visit to Lake George. 5 min drive from the village shops, outlets, Six Flags, mini golf and a multitude of restaurants/pubs and water sports.
