Hotel Villabosque Eco Boutique

The hotel is very well located at Manuel Antonio, 50mts from the main engtrance in the park as maximum, and has good infrastructure; spacious and well decorated rooms, very kind staff and always available to help, but unfortunately the breakfast is very bad. The quality of the products is low, for example bread, bottled orange juice, so it would be worth investing in a kitchen professional. It would also make things easier if instead of having fixed menus, it could be a buffet, where everyone could choose what they like. In bedrooms, mattresses should be rotated/turned regularly to avoid creating holes in the same place

The hotel was okay but everything felt cramped. The rooms were cramped, too much furniture in a small room, little surface areas, hardly any hanging space, etc… Everything worked but….. The dining breakfast area was similarly cramped when busy, breakfast was okay. The ‘swimming pool’ was so cramped nobody used it! Location was good, 5/10 minutes walk from the beach which is fabulous. Long, wide really good. Manuel Antonio itself is nothing to write home about, quite scruffy and tacky.

This hotel is a great place for families, couples, and solo travelers. The accommodation options range from large to small- and they even have an affordable rooms for drivers and tour guides. I came in late one evening after having car troubles as a single traveling student and the receptionist Maria went above and beyond to help me get affordable and comfortable accommodation at the hotel. Maria is incredible, and a great asset to their Customer Service team. The hotel also has a beautiful pool area and offers free breakfast from 7-11 (with vegan and gluten free options). I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to visit the park and enjoy the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio. It’s far enough away from the crazy tourism- without being so over-the-top and fancy that you miss out on the natural beauty you came for.

The bed was very very comfortable. We enjoyed the large shower and would have liked a shelf or a little bigger space for our toiletries. The room was inviting and had a little refrigerator plus a safe to lock away our valuables. The hotel was close to nice restaurants and to the National park.

Wendy and María were incredibly helpful whenever I had questions. Marcela and the housekeeping staff kept my room in great shape and left fun towel animals for me. I don’t know the names of other staff, but someone was always available to help me when I had an issue with my room key or luggage. The location is amazing, it is walking distance to Playa Espadilla Norte and Manuel Antonio National Park. Most of the tour groups pick up from here for daily tours, it is walking distance from the Super Joseth supermercado, and a short cab or Uber ride to Manuel Antonio for more restaurant options. Overall, a great place to stay!

Beautiful hotel in a great location. A warm and welcoming staff, including Maria at the front desk and Gilbert in the restaurant and bar. All of the staff we encountered were kind and helpful with a commitment to good hosting and hospitality! We would 100% come back again for a longer stay.
