This boutique hotel is something quite special. With only 14 rooms you get a very personalised service. James was always there to greet us whenever we returned to the hotel. The views from the hotel reception (and from the restaurant) are exceptional. The restaurant was some of the best food we've had in South America. We didn't want to leave this little home away from home. One of my favourite hotels we've ever stayed at

We arrived at midnight so didn't really get to see much of the hotel but the view of the old city below with all the lights was amazing from our room. In the morning we went for breakfast (included) and it was amazing as were the cappuccinos! The hotel has an older section and the new section and they blended them together beautifully. We decided we were going to explore the "old city" so got directions and when we got outside took one look and couldn't believe how high up the street we were. We were fine but you do have to be extremely careful with the hills because they are uneven and if you go down you have to come back up. If you have any kind of mobility issues you should probably use a taxi to move around rather than walking. The hotel had also arranged at our request for 4 hr walking tour of the city, and it was all flawless and worth the money, we saw and learned so much. All in all this hotel met and exceeded our expectations from the very helpful and kind staff, cleanliness, views and arranging for drivers and tours, they definitely take pride in the service they provide and the overall Ecuadorian experience their clients have.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the old town. It has an amazing view which is even better at night. The staff are very helpful and the restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner. It is a steep walk down to the old city and possibly better to come home in a taxi/uber but we managed to make it home the first day. The hotel feels very peaceful and safe at night and there is a lovely outdoor area for dinner if it’s not too cold.

One of the best places ive stayed. The beds & rooms are so comfortable & luxurious. Service is five stars from James. Beautiful balcony with views across the city & great breakfast included. The walk here is steep so be prepared for a workout.

A good hotel overall, really helpful and efficient l with transfers, taxis, etc. Breakfast is lovely and presented beautifully. It would be nice to propose some Ecuadorian pastries rather than French ones. Although this is the only place we have had in Ecuador where the croissants and pains au chocolat were nice. Staff speak English . Views from hotel are brilliant. You can have breakfast outside on the terrace which for me is awesome. Breakfast will fill you up for the rest of the day and you can ask for refills if needed. Many different areas and lounges where you can rest, relax. Even an area other games and a telescope on the restaurant. Tea available in the room. Late check out available without extra charge.

The hotel is actually very nice and interesting, but the service and employees are in a league of their own and at the bottom of the league. First they promise to do laundry, then it'll be ready in an hour, then in an other hour. To get food in the restaurant you have to wait an hour at least. Other arriving guests do not get any help with the luggage, but at least you get a workout on if you don't have the heart to let old people carry their suitcases up plenty of stairs. Someone has to work, because at this hotel none of the employees will.

The Hotel is a wonderful place to stay and beautifully decorated and very romantic. The view is fantastic, and you can get to the old town quickly. The food in the restaurant was fantastic as well, although I would have preferred a breakfast buffet. The service was also great, even though the restaurant staff didn't speak English. Overall, it's a lovely hotel with a great atmosphere and excellent service.

The best part of this hotel is the friendly/helpful staff…which says a lot because the view from here is also spectacular! The included breakfast was delicious, huge, and had great coffee! The restaurant has many vegan options for dinner too. Highly recommended!

In the quiet Historic District, this gorgeous hotel charmed us. Rooms are beautifully appointed, with funky art and loveseats scattered throughout a lovely stone and wood building arranged around a lush courtyard. There were kind and responsive staff, tasty food and drink, and best of all, you are perched on top of the city, like in an eagle’s eyrie, with the city spread out below. Stayed in December 2023.
