I want to congratulate the entire staff who were incredibly attentive and welcoming. We had delicious dinner and breakfast, the presentation and flavors were 10/10. The entire hotel was filled with art, architectural details, unique materials, colors and natural light. We had a revitalizing massage session with skilled and attentive therapists. I am definitely recommending Mama Cuchara to friends and family.

Hotel Mama Cuchara is in the Historical Center of Quito-walkable distance from the Plaza Santo Domingo, La Ronda, and many historical sites. Loved my room with a view of the city, delicious breakfast, the best staff, I really enjoyed my stay here.There is beautiful artwork around the hotel for the guests to enjoy

Exceptional! Excellent service, exceptional food in the restaurant. Staff very helpful, friendly and courteous. They thought of every detail. We were welcomed with a serving of fruit. Snacks in the room, gorgeous view from the roof top bar.

The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way on numerous occasions to ensure our needs were taken care of. Their attentiveness to detailed compared with our stays at the Four Seasons. Very Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel well located in the old city of Quito. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious in a pretty courtyard. We ate dinner on the roof top and enjoyed the view and the food. We were very happy there.

Wonderful place in Quito - I wish we would have staid longer, very nice staff and excellent breakfast. Dinner restaurant was good too with a good surrounding view. Location just at the edge of the old town was ideal for walking trips into the city

This place is a true gem. Not only is the hotel clean and comfortable, the staff is top notch. Each room is unique and has art work and furnishings that make the rooms feel cozy and inviting. The food was excellent and the wait staff and bar tenders were accommodating. I would stay here again without hesitation!

This hotel is charmingly furnished and has very comfortable rooms. Art pieces are liberally placed throughout the common areas and in the rooms, giving us the opportunity to enjoy and reflect on them. The service of its staff is truly exceptional and everyone has a ready smile for its guests. A light local snack is thoughtfully provided in the late afternoon and dinner which is up on the roof top allows diners to enjoy the lights of Quito by night while dining from an extensive menu featuring local produce. A shoutout must be given to Dino who serves the diners with unfaltering professionalism. The only distraction is the loud blaring pop music that repeats itself every night; if music is to be played perhaps some light Ecuadorian instrumental pieces could be selected.

We stayed 4 nights in all. We arrived in Quito and used this lovely hotel as a base. We travelled to the rainforest and the Galapagos Islands and back to Quito. It is well placed for city sightseeing. It's a lovely unusual building , very comfortable with lovely rooms. The star of the show is the roof terrace with amazing views over Quito. The restaurant and bar service up there (and downstairs for breakfast) are excellent. The food was great. Dino makes wonderful cocktails which is an entertainment in itself. He brings out the patio heaters and ponchos when it gets chilly. They provide entertainment some evenings. The reception staff were so helpful and kind. We were sorry to leave.
