Valamar Bellevue Resort

We decided to go here for a break as on paper it was a large resort, but actually all the hotels are separate as we found out later into the holiday. There were 3 restaurants and a themed one, but only 1 open as end of season ( not mentioned when booking) this restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner (albeit lunch & dinner same food except for the roast) there was no entertainment and we went to the next hotel for that, but had to pay for drinks as this was a separate hotel and our all inclusive wristbands were not accepted. This resort has walking - lots of walking and not much else. There is a bus for €2pp to go to next village Labin - well worth a visit if you get the early bus and return at 1.30pm. Rovini is an hour away and well worth a visit, the concierge will organise a taxi as going by bus would be impossible or you could hire a car and then parking is impossible. Taxi was €170 and well worth the money. The pools here are good, a heated saltwater pool (29c) and 2 other pools one of which the seagulls loved. Transfer to/from airport is approximately 50 minutes each way - we got a private taxi booked with holiday. On arrival we got upgraded room, very spacious with 2 TVs but the remote seemed to work on both and therefore a bit annoying as when you changed channels on 1 it changed the channel on the other. The all inclusive drinks were strange - a selection of cocktails all pre-made, local spirits,local beer and soft drinks. Water from dispensers and house red/white wine on tap. In the restaurant house red/white wine on tap, plus tea and coffee, beer. There was no Bubberly at breakfast like most all inclusive holidays. All in all a nice area to visit when the sun out, but we seemed to of had a odd week as the temperature was up in the high 30c for the previous 3 months and we had the crap week

Wonderful holiday/ we have been here three times already. I recommend it to everyone, lots of attractions for children and not only, Cinema for children, maro club, maro disco. The meals were very good and varied. The views were beautiful.

Second time here, this time with 2 kids. For the last few years we choose Valamar hotels for a reason and vacation with kids is what you imagine when coming here. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff is nice and friendly, food is great and things for kids to do is on another level. Pools and area around them are also really clean and everyday we found somewhere to put our things. Highly recommend coming here with kids, and I am sure we are coming for the third time.

Perfect family vacation, free parking, everything is near, wide choice of all inclusive meals and drinks, beuatifull beaches, clear sea, animation, pools lots of sports activities, water sports, and friendly staff! ❣️❤️ ‍♀️‍♀️

Now I’ve returned from the adventure, I wanted to say we had a fantastic time on our first trip to Croatia. The hotel is spotless and we didn’t find any glass on the floor! And there’s probably the occasional cleaning product on show because the hotel is immaculate inside and out! Our room was great for our family with the 2 kids having the own room which was a welcome surprise. Loads of pools and and the beach areas along the coast are postcard perfect! No pesky sand this year, it was great!!!! Food was great, always fresh and I can be a critical old sausage about food and I had no complaint at all here!!!’ Really, Really nice hotel!!!! Although I did have to cue for the lift once!!! But I would definitely 100% return. Couple of gripes!!!! I didn’t think the entertainment was very good, especially for 2 girls aged 8 & 10. Especially round out hotel! Not much going apart from a break dancing show which was a bit lame apart from the lad with a big mop on his head and a DJ who managed to go a whole night without getting one person or child up dancing, I think he needs to work up hyping up the crowd a bit. Because currently he’s more suited to a wake. Didn’t like the fact you had pay for the subbed by the beach!!! We went there one day as could get a lounger by pool and were asked to move by someone, which is fair enough, but we were not aware of the situation. Also it’s very hard and very expensive to do any trips unless you do a boat trip from the harbour area ( which are great by the way ) unless your happy to pay for a taxi to hang around for you all day and pay them for the pleasure, maybe rent a car, but the last thing I want to do is drive on holiday. Honestly though this a a lovely hotel, and nowhere is every perfect. Now!!! Big shout out to someone! Who is going to win staff member of the Holiday. This lady was great all holiday, she worked her socks off looking after the relax pool all on her own, including cleaning!!! whilst being the only person in the hotel who could make a decent cocktail! Delia!! We solute you!!! And the hotel should give you an extra day off! Either that or put you in charge of the activity pool and show the younger members of staff what hard work is and how to make a cocktail. Thank you! We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back to Croatia

This was not a good experience in something you could hardly call 4*.  On the whole we felt robbed for the amount of money we spent on booking this hotel and wouldnt come back again. Firstly there was Glass on floor of the room which cut my sons foot. The rooom was generally not cleaned well, there were bits of party streamer in corners and under the bed.  I went and got a broom and swept myself in the end.  They offered a meal in the restaurant you have to pay for but the one that stops serving food af 6.30.and when we went down to look is sweltering hot as its outside and has the sun on it all day.  For the other bits in the room there was a Broken sliding door and a broken door on the wardrobe. The wardrobe was fixed one day but whole.knows by who.  There was an Aircon issues when i first asked was told to open the window - it was quite rude really.  Went and asked again and they set something from the main system which fixed it. Other things All over th place there is Cleaning stuff just left blocking hallways - this isnt when they are cleaning but where it is stored. One morning it was completely blocking the route to the lift and you had to step over the vacuum. Queuing for lifts is a constant - there are not enough lifts and in the main building they are not linked so you press 2 buttons and 2 lifts may or may not turn up. Be ready to wait or to use the stairs a lot. Also be ready to queue at the Bar alot - there are not really enough bar staff or bars for the size of hotel - the busyness of the bars resulted in the wrong drink for a few people and the bar staff were rude when asked to swap them. For sitting out with a drink in the evening - its not a great experience,  they is limited seating at the main bar where they have the mini disco etc but not really anywhere  else.  This outside seating is also just on the road where the 'train' to the town comes though in the day.  So it feels like your sitting in a makeshift area rather than at a nice hotel bar.  Beachside sunbeds if you can get one - they can be booked up for the whole week. So good luck in getting.one if you want one for a day even though they are Hardly being used. Round the pool there are a few high volume areas that get dirty and slippy quickly eg. By the towel stand and the 2 people sitting there generally doing nothing only cleaned it once in the whole day.  As couple of kids went flying in it. Food is pretty average most of the time with the occasional highlight though into.the blandness. On the good side the pools are ok when you can get a sunbed (they do half an attempt each morning at pretending they dont allow you to reserve sunbeds) and most of the staff at reception, bars and restaurants were friendly. On the whole for the.miney thiz hotel charges you can get something far better elsewhere.  I would not come back here again.
