Riu Palace Boavista - All Inclusive

RIU Palace Boavista has been one of the best hotels we have stayed at! The staff were very friendly, they couldnt do enough for us - this really made our stay at the hotel! Clean rooms with a comfy bed, fab entertainment with themed nights, good food options - we have really loved every minute of our stay here! Thank you to all of the staff at Palace Boavista!

What an amazing place, loved every minute of our 2 weeks stay, our room was clean and kept clean by our lovely maid. Drinks in our fridge topped up every 2nd day which was fine with us, staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to help you. Food at this hotel was OUTSTANDING! fresh, tasty, hot and so much choice. We spent our time on the beach, lovely long beach, we walked this beach every morning so peaceful. Ty Riu palace for a lovely holiday see you again next year.(already booked) Keep up the good work xx

Difficult to review. First time we have done an all inclusive. We were so bored for most of our trip. Sitting by a pool and little else was not for us. So I'm basing the review on our honest opinion. The hotel and grounds are spotless and beautifully maintained. The staff with one or two exceptions are an absolute credit to the hotel and really make this place. The rooms are really nice and the showers are amazing. Swim up rooms look great although for us if you want privacy why would you not l rent a villa elsewhere for far less money. The food. On first impressions looks great but after a few days became very samey. Even with such a large selection. The desserts all looked great but mostly tasted the same. The cheese selection, fruit and salads were exceptional. The drink selection was not always branded. And generally a little generic. Prosecco, lager and basic spirits but a little uninspiring. The cocktails were very poor. The entertainment had moments when it was great but mostly very Butlins like. Although the entertainment staff are incredibly hard working and make a first class effort. Entertainment could have finished a little later. The pools are nice and there is never a shortage of sunbeds if that's your thing. The beach is beautiful but a lot of rocks under the surface. You need to turn right and walk 10 mins to the beach bar for a better beach and better cocktails. The island is beautiful but very little to do. Turtle watching is a must. If you like sitting on a sunbed. Drinking ok drinks and eating in an all you can eat buffet then this place is top draw. If however you like a bit of adventure then there must be far better ways to see cape verde than an all inclusive. Wake up people be more adventurous.

Where to start. Hotel amazing. From the beginning ale service was outstanding. Reception, breakfast dinner lunch staff always happy to help. Always smiling always they got time for you to talk advice or even make normal chat. Room brilliant. Drink cabinet on wall. Fridge full off water cola or other drinks. Can’t say anything about room standard. Hotel really clean. Food really good. Everyone find something for self..every day different food. A lot fresh juice and mix water with fruits or veggies. Swimming pool. Wow. One big one in the middle and two from one and second side with bars. You can enjoy drink seating with amazing views on ocean or you can drink in swimming pool. Beach really clean and beautiful.Everyone find place for self.No one flying 5/6 am morning to book place. Is a lot for everyone. Staff on swimming pool amazing. Drinks first class. A lot different games on swimming pool in full day. Starting from bingo darts aerobics in pool beach volleyball and a lot other ones. Entertainment brilliant.Every day different show. They put a lot work to make ppl happy and enjoy time in this hotel. Don’t see any bad things. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed two weeks in this hotel. One of the best holidays.

Thank you Riu Palace & all her lovely staff for our fourth fab holiday hereour swim up room kept lovely & clean..cute towel art..we used the main buffet Africa for meals as so much selection..enjoyed quiz at night & watched some of the shows..animation work so hard..(as do all the staff)favourite drinks of honey rum & chocolate martinis..fun at White party at Karamboa next door..beautifully kept gardens..beach amazing..remember your towel pegs..

Arrived back from this beautiful hotel last night. This hotel is fabulous!! It is immaculate and all the staff were so hard working!! Every staff member was so polite and went out of their way to say hello. We tried the speciality restaurants but to be honest the buffet was much better. There was such a huge choice of every type of food it was amazing!! The pools (3) are lovely wth 2 of them having a swim up bar. The lounges were lovely with plenty of seating both inside and out and also a big area where they had evening entertainment. The rooms are beautiful and even had a complimentary mini bar with spirits in measures. If I had to be picky I have sat on more comfortable sun beds but as I said I would be very picky. Ultimately we had a wonderful week in this fabulous resort.

Just back from a fabulous 14 days First time in Cape Verde but have visited several Riu Palaces in Mexico and Dominican and the Riu Palace Boa Vista is up there with the best of them . We all had a lovely relaxing time Beautiful sea view rooms , kept spotless by Angela , came back every day to great towel sculptures We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary while we were here and big thanks to Adel on reception for all his help in sorting out our celebration meal at Krystal restaurant . Dgeorge at pool bars and evening bars is a credit to the hotel Every member of staff was so lovely and friendly Enjoyed all 3 A la Cartes a couple of times , easily booked on the App Had breakfast in the Africa, so much choice of lovely freshly cooked food , plenty of choice of fresh fruits too We always managed to get a table for 6 .Most lunch times ate at Sal Rei , again so much choice. Usually called at the Cappuccino bar on way back from beach , good selection of coffees and cakes Enjoyed the evenings in the bar areas and saw some shows , entertainment team work so hard day and night and really interact with the guests The beach is absolutely beautiful and loads of sun beds also plenty available round the pools Weather was fantastic , there is a breeze but very pleasant. 100% satisfied no complaints at all , we will be back

Excellant holiday and staff in all departments all seemed very happy and friendly in all they did especially Katia in Africa Restaurant who was so friendly and always smiling. I have already recommended your hotel with family and friends thank you for such a lovely holiday

I am at the hotel as I write this review, we were here in March and enjoyed it so much that we cancelled a holiday that we had booked and came back , the hotel is excellent, everywhere is spotless, the staff are very friendly and efficient, the hotel is isolated but you know this before you arrive, why anyone would pay €10 for a taxi from the airport amazes me it’s about half a mile and one of the nicest airports I’ve ever used, now for the down side, it’s virtually impossible to get in the sea either the red flag is flying or if it isn’t it’s very rocky as you try to walk in, problem with flies that didn’t exist in March they land on you constantly and I did see them on food in the dining hall but it was not over run with them, smoking as a life long non smoker it isn’t nice when you’re sat on a sunbed inhaling someone’s smoke I don’t know what the hotels policy is on this and lastly the food, all good quality but a bit of a mix and match lastly on a night we liked to sit in the muscat bar and watch the world go by but it was adjacent to the entertainment hall which was very noisy so there was nowhere on a night to have a nice quiet drink, basically I think we will stop doing all inclusive it doesn’t work for us anymore
