This was my favourite hotel of the 6 hotels we stayed at. The staff’s gentle and attentive service, the familiar homely touches, the beautiful setting and infinity pool all helped to create a cosy intimate and memorable experience. Plus the meals were delicious with many of the produce coming from chef’s well-tendered garden. Top marks from me.

Hotel Stafford Bungalow is most peaceful and beautiful retreat in the mountains .Tastefully and cozy furnished with the benefit of log fire in the evenings . Warm and friendly staff made me feel right at home. They are incredibly attentive, ready to assist with any request.

Lovely place to stay with warm welcoming staff. Nothing too much trouble. Food excellent. The building is beautiful. Superbly decorated to a very high standard. The rain did not allow us to use the pool and outside area but it looked fantastic.

Fantastic stay with caring and kind team, delicious freshly prepared food from own vegetable garden and cosy generous rooms, in well balanced style between traditional and new. Couldn’t recommend more. Amazing hospitality. Tea plantation tour is complementary.

A truly beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. When we arrived we felt we arrived to a lavish home that has been lavishly decorated for Xmas. The vibe is elegant and homely. Everything is clean and well maintained. The staff attentive and did their best to make us as comfortable as can be. In particular, Chanu was extremely attentive and often did things for us in advance of us asking him. Chanu also took us on a bird watching tour in the local area. I would recommend it, if you love nature and like to see the variety of birds. The outdoor jacuzzi was lovely. The pool was not heated, but that did not bother us. In the heat of the day you want a nice cooling dip. The gardens were very pleasant and well manicured. Kids also enjoyed the mini golf and croquet. The whole family enjoyed the tea plantation walk and the bird watching, mentioned above. We would have liked to have done the cooking course with the head chef, but we ran out of time. The food was very tasty, high quality and well presented.

A beautiful colonial building which is now modernised to perfection. Extremely comfortable rooms with all possible amenities. The weather was perfect and we loved sitting in the beautiful garden. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to assist us. They were also very unobtrusive. The chef Shantha and his team were the highlight of our stay. They produced delicious mouth watering food based on our taste buds and requirements. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

It was a top destination for fine dining. It was a great stay with wonderful surroundings. Warm hospitality, beautiful rooms, clean , and calm environment. It was the one of the best stays out of our long tour around SL. What an amazing chef they had. The chefs' exceptional skill and presentation made each meal a delight. Food that was consistently outstanding, always fresh and most of all extremely innovative. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, nestled amidst lush tea plantations. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Chef Shantha and the staff for creating an unforgettable experience during our stay at the staffed bungalow

Highly Recommend I Travelled Sri Lanka with my son and family from Australia staying in 5star accommodation and this Lodge offered the best accommodation food and service We arrived and were welcomed with the comment Please enjoy your stay in our home The head butler Chanuka was excellent offering the very best in discreet service Worth a visit if you are travelling through the central area Richard Alexander UK

Fantastic place to relax. Knowledgable and accommodating staff, especially with an 8month baby. The staff were helpful in ensuring modified meals for our baby and in ensuring our ultimate comfort. The gardens are meticulously maintained and serene. The plantation walk is fantastic! We cannot speak highly enough of Stafford bungalow!
