Jungle lodges spring up everywhere and is difficult to differentiate between them. Reni Pani has excellent pedigree, being sister to the wonderful Jehan Numa Palace Hotel in Bhopal, itself a great stopping off point en route to the jungle of Satpura National Park. Reni Pani has great cabins in woodland but this time we stayed in one of their luxury tents overlooking a waterhole. We were too busy enjoying its beautifully appointed facilities to bother looking out at any passing wildlife. Forays into the jungle are organised by Reni Pani, so all you have to do is wake up on time, enjoy the safari ride and savour some great cuisine on your return from the jungle. Situated close to the Tawa reservoir, you can take boat rides to discover birdlife and the occasional crocodile as well as take bush walks. We think there's little to compare with Reni Pani in Satpura - other than Bori Safari Lodge, which is also theirs!

Friendly staff, great food and accommodation. Great trips into the reserve, a night safari in the buffer zone and a spectacularly good boat safari where we saw 3 different tigers, one very close. Numun was a terrific naturalist, found us tigers and bears etc and an amazing knowledge of and spotter of birds.

-The staff at Reni Pani went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. -The guide we had assigned to us had a fantastic knowledge of the jungle and all its wildlife. -We saw 8 different Tigers including 4 little cubs! -Highly recommend staying here, it was awesome. Perhaps after monsoon when the jungle is more green and dense!

First of all, my gratitude to Mr. Sourabh! Who patiently followed and replied in a very supportive and detailed way every single concern I raised for support :) Just arriving at Reni Pani I realised the place is unique due to its isolated location and consequently natural surroundings that make it attractive even if you only stay at the lodge, you can spot different bird species, playful palm squirrels and some macaques but not limited to. Rooms are so cozy!! I could not spend enough time in mine to really enjoy all the great details, personally, I felt I had my private space but without losing that connection with the nature, thanks to the windows placed in different points where even if you are washing your hands in the rest room you will see out there, so, if you like birding for instance you will not lose any single chance! Furthermore, this combination of windows and the areas where you can sit or lay down sets the perfect moment if you enjoy writing while travelling. I loved the rustic touch but well ornamented with local handcraft works, having your own grinded coffee and French press, as well as tea bag options if you prefer and delicious biscuits to complement a quick but tasty meal. On top of that, the terrace is perfect if you look for a moment of relaxation or talking to yourself. Safaris!! I was so lucky to start with a boat trip and spotting a couple of cubs resting in the river shore, it might be a coincidence, but our naturalist Naman guided us to such place knowing there was a possibility to find them. Next day, exploring the buffer and core zones with Franklin I had the chance to see and photograph diversity of birds and, our reward by end of the day was to find a couple of sloth bears foraging for food in the forest, one of them moving to the road and looking at us to immortalize such moment! If the above were not enough, I have to mention that the small library is also a place to visit due to the different photography and wildlife books they have, once again, I was so busy out there that I could not enjoy that space. Finally, the food!! Thanks to all the team that prepare the meals and are always attentive asking what would you like to try and if you enjoy the dishes, moreover, welcoming you after any trip with refreshing drinks or chai; special thanks to Sharna and Siddhartha supervising everything goes well and my appreciation for explaining to me the gulab jamun recipe. It was so lovely experience to start my first travel through India, dhanyavaad to every single person that forms Reni Pani Team!! I hope we will see each other again :)

A warm welcome upon arrival would have been greatly appreciated. Given that we were traveling with a 4-year-old and staying in the buffer zone, a room closer to the main area would have made things easier in case of emergencies. That said, the place truly offers an immersive forest experience. One of the most interesting aspects is that if you need network access, you have to walk all the way to the library zone—adding to the adventure! The naturalists here are deeply passionate about the jungle, making our journey both exciting and educational. We returned with so much knowledge, thanks to their enthusiasm. A big shoutout to Manan for recommending this place! Premsingh ji, you are a star! Ashutosh and the dining team, you were fantastic—thank you for taking such great care of us. And Mr. Siddhartha, we truly appreciate everything!

Reni Pani jungle Lodge in Satpura National Park (Tiger Reserve) delivered way beyond our expectations. First: the Lodge itself. Set in jungle surroundings. We felt part of the forest. Our cottage was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The “common facilities” excellent. Food and service of high standard. Four nights were perfect. Second: the safaris. We managed nine in all. None too many: Jeep/boat/night-time/foot. Fascinatingly varied countryside. Seen in many different and engrossing ways. Abundant wildlife. Tigers, leopard, sloth-bears, deer, wild-dogs, jackal, crocodiles, huge range of birds, etc. Our guide (Naman) found everything for us. And, what much impressed, was the obvious health of all wildlife and plants we encountered. India is much to be congratulated on the way it has “integrated” conservation (indeed, “resurrected” so much of its natural history) alongside (and supported by) local human presence. Thank you for enthralling experience. Andrew & Jill Soundy.

This jungle lodge is simply amazing. We stayed in one of the cottages which was beautifully appointed tea/coffee in room A/C and an upstairs outside area to relax ( even put hot water bottles in the bed on chilly nights). All the staff were extremely helpful friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding Sharna was an absolutely fabulous lodge hostess Shubum an amazing lodge captain always had a lovely smile. Our guide / naturalist was Mehul who was so knowledgeable, professional friendly a real asset to Satpura. We loved it here don’t hesitate if your thinking of booking just do it you won’t be disappointed !

We had a fabulous time at Reni Pani Jungle Lodge. We had an excellent Naturalist as our guide for all our safaris. He was very helpful and very interesting and we had some wonderful sightings with him of tigers, sloth bears, giant malabar squirrels and two sirkeer malkoha ***** with many other animals and birds. Our tent was very comfortable and clean, just a shame it didn't over look a water wadi as we had hoped. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only slight downside was that we felt the food was not as good as in other places we had stayed and that the vegetarian options we very limited and samey each day. Otherwise loved our stay there.

Words cannot express how wonderful this camp is. Luxury in the Central Indian forest. The camp is over 20 minutes from the national park but there are plenty of birds and even mammals to view before you get to the gates. The lodge itself has a lovely communal area, swimming pool and outdoor dining area. The rooms are luxurious, showers powerful (with optional outdoor shower) and beds incredibly comfortable. The food is a proper mixture of Indian and western cuisine and the chefs will cater to your tastes. The staff are wonderfully attentive and ensure all needs are met. The manager and deputy manager are always present to see how your days have been and make sure there are no issues. Our naturalist, Franklin Dolder, was also brilliant and ensured we got stunning sightings of Tiger and Sloth Bear not to mention a wealth of other mammals and birdlife. He is also a fantastic photographer and has shared a number of photos of our best sightings with us. Honestly cannot praise this place enough and wish we had stayed for longer. Please note the WiFi is only in communal areas and connection is poor and intermittent. This should not detract from the experience however as you relax and unwind to the sounds of birds and the sights of playful squirrels, Macaques and Langurs!
