I recently stayed here, but unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Upon check-in, I was greeted by a bald gentleman who introduced himself as the manager. His attitude left a lot to be desired – he was dismissive and unhelpful when I raised a few concerns. It felt as if any question or issue was an inconvenience to him, which was disappointing, especially coming from a manager. The room itself also didn’t live up to expectations. The floors were sticky and didn’t feel properly cleaned, which raised concerns about overall cleanliness and maintenance standards. The discomfort from the uncleanliness made it difficult to relax and enjoy the stay. For a place that’s presumably aiming to provide a comfortable experience, attention to such basic details would make a big difference. I hope the management takes feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. Better customer service and cleanliness standards would go a long way in making this a place I could recommend. For now, it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to, given these issues.

My husband and I stayed at Ramboda Falls Hotel in March 2023 during a trip to Neliya, and it was an incredible experience. Nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka's hill country, the view of the Ramboda Falls were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of cascading water was a highlight of my trip. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and having a room with a view of the falls made it even more special. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed the meals at the hotel, which featured a great mix of local and international dishes. The dining area had a cozy vibe, perfect for relaxing and entertaining. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, I highly recommend Ramboda Falls Hotel. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful hill country and truly enjoying the serenity of the falls.

Absolutely the very, very best in this hotel is just in front of fantastic waterfall with great view and walking distance to be very close to it. Very nice swimming pool also with the view.. rooms are OK have everything that you need the weakest point is restaurant with a very low quality breakfast and dinner. Service is fantastic like everywhere on Sri Lanka.

The view from the hotel is gorgeous, especially from the swimming pool. The food was also very tasty. I regret I was only there for one night. If you go to Sri Lanka you should definitely visit this hotel. The only disadvantage was cold water in the shower.

Short Version. Overwhelmingly Great views of Waterfall. Staff very friendly. Dining, we did a Sat night Buffet, very very nice inc entertainment. Rooms a bit old. Only 1 powerpoint in main room to use. Shower terrible, shower rose needs replacement, water press low. Use of hairdryer difficult as too far away from mirror. General cleanliness not great either. But they have the View!

We were located on the 4th floor in the family room. The room was clean and has a great atmosphere. The view from the room and from it’s terrace is astonishing. As we are very picky from our eating perspective, the selection of the food was a bit few for us (but I have to state that it should be more than enough for regular guests). The staff was friendly and supportive.

One of the best hotel in Sri Lanka is the Ramboda Falls hotel. The view from our room was amazing! It's a best place to hide in the nature. The staff were super kind and helpful. The dinner was very good with live music. The swimming pool, garden, ... next to the water fall. I woulded like just stay there more days. Highly recommend the hotel for family or anyone else.

You're not really going to care about minor stuff like there being no lightswitch that seems to turn off the light near the door so you've got to start unscrewing the lightbulb until it turns off. Or the fact that the showers also never had hot water. Because the view is that good, and a giant waterfall 60 second walk away from the dining area (where from you can see the thing). Staff were very friendly, bed was comfortable. Buffet breakfast was pretty good.
