Baroque Boutique Resort

What a fantastic find this hotel is. Yes you probably need a car but it’s also not that far from the airport and very easy to find. The owner collects antique furniture and memorabilia. We stayed in one of the larger rooms and it was amazing. Spotlessly clean. Super comfortable bed. They also have a coffee shop/ restaurant and we spoiled ourselves with two lovely cakes. Breakfast was delicious. You can order your breakfast the night before. The rooms are set in the garden and very peaceful. Would highly recommend staying there.

This is a quirky hotel, with a British telephone box at the entry, an eclectic collection of nick-backs in the cafe/dining room and a series of brightly painted wooden cabins around an ornamental fountain and garden! What a find! The room was clean, with toiletries etc in the bathroom. There is a mezzanine floor with a futon above the bed but the steps prevent access to one side if the bed as they are fixed. This was easily remedied by moving the bed slightly. However we could not remedy the slats under the bed randomly popping off, which happened several times. The breakfast was huge with eggs,cooked to your preference, sausage, ham, beans, toast & salad as well as cakes, jellies and fruit. The lady who cooked the food queried if we wanted more meat and less salad for our second day and double checked our egg preferences ! The restaurant was not open during the evening (as far as we could tell only 1 other room was occupied when we stayed) so I cannot comment on the evening meal. The stars of this hotel were the staff, who despite having very little English, managed to communicate really well with us using Google translate to ensure we had everything we needed. The owner suggested a hot springs park for us to visit and arranged transport there and back and he also organised a taxi to take us to the pier for the speedboat across to Koh Phayam, altering the booking time when we asked The hotel is not actually in the town of Ranong and so is a little isolated but we found it to be a little haven.

we chose this for a stopover enroute to phuket from hua hin and im glad we did absolutely immaculate great food and coffee/cakes,the staff are well presented and polite,the room we had was huge more like a villa with antique furniture very very nice and absolutely spotlessly clean ,the restaurant closes at 7pm so dinner will be early my only problem was they only had beer no spirits or wines i dont know why but i personally rarely have beer with dinner so we had two cokes and back to the villa for a few gins,[yes i had my own] i will research this area and see whats to do as you could easily spend 3 or 4 days here the villas are that good oh and preinstalled with netflix what more could you want
