Shivan and Eimran were great! The pool was nice, the kids play area attendants were friendly and Imran from the towel collection area was nice. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back to relax by the pool. The mangrove around are beautiful.

Experience Beyond Expectations We had an amazing time at the resort. The front office manager, Ms. Arwa, was absolutely fabulous. Not only did she ensure we received an upgrade, but she also made sure our babymoon and anniversary celebration were unforgettable and truly special. What stood out to me the most was the incredible warmth and care of the entire staff. From the buggy drivers to the receptionists and restaurant staff, everyone was cheerful and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their attention to detail and friendly nature really enhanced our experience. The breakfast spread was superb, with the avocado toast and bakery items being particular highlights. We also dined at the Mekong restaurant, where we enjoyed the most delicious food. The staff, especially Eko, went above and beyond to accommodate our allergies and made us feel truly taken care of. Overall, we had an outstanding stay, and we’re already looking forward to returning! Lastly want to congratulate the General Manager who has developed an amazing team who literally cares for guest and serve them with smile.

Food was really good and Scott was very welcoming. Last night, we dined at sea breeze and our experience was fantastic—thanks in large part to our waiter, Scoot. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor that made the meal even more enjoyable. He knew the menu inside and out, offering great recommendations based on our tastes.

We spent five nights at Anantara Mina Al Arab in January 2025 and had a lovely stay. We traveled with our almost four-year-old son from Monday to Friday and, while we enjoyed our time, we did find that the resort was quite quiet during the weekdays, with limited activities and entertainment. That said, when we shared our feedback with the managers, they were very receptive and did their best to enhance our experience. Beautiful Resort with Exceptional Staff The resort itself is stunning—beautifully designed, with immaculate rooms and great facilities. Housekeeping ensured our room was spotless each day, and everything felt well-maintained. The staff were the true highlight of our stay. Everyone was warm, attentive, and eager to help, making us feel genuinely looked after. A few standout team members include: • Derick, Saidhari, and the buggy drivers, who were always happy to stop and offer a ride—especially to our buggy-obsessed son, giving him little trips around the property. • The team at Sea Breeze—Valeria, Ayo, Saqlan, Prashant, Sehrish, and Aaditya—who went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely dining experience. The level of service they provided was fantastic. • The pool and recreation team—Wasim, Chandrakant, Sunil, Kalesh, and Sher—who, despite the windy weather, did everything they could to find us sunny spots, provide fresh towels, and keep us comfortable. A Quiet Stay with Limited Weekday Activities While the resort is beautiful, we did find that it lacked things to do during the weekdays. There weren’t many scheduled activities or entertainment options, and at times, it felt a little too quiet. If you’re looking for a more lively atmosphere, weekends may be a better time to visit. Thankfully, the Kids’ Club was a saving grace for our son. Mary was absolutely fantastic, pulling out all the stops to keep him entertained, especially when the weather wasn’t great. Harushini impressed us with her incredible face-painting skills, which our son adored. Delicious Food & Great Dining Experiences One thing that really stood out was the quality of the food. While some resorts offer plenty of options but fall short on taste, everything we ate at Sea Breeze and Mekong was genuinely delicious. A big thank you to Chefs Boustros, Jeevan, and Anup for creating such flavorful meals. The pastry chefs also deserve a mention—their desserts were amazing! We even took part in a cupcake-making class with Fasha, who did a wonderful job engaging our son and making the experience fun. Final Thoughts Overall, we had a relaxing stay at Anantara Mina Al Arab, but if you’re looking for a lively, activity-filled resort, you may find weekdays a bit too quiet. However, the stunning setting, incredible staff, and fantastic food still made it a memorable trip.

I arrived to your resort together with my friend. The experience was excellent. All staff was very lovely and friendly especially staff Sher he was serving us by the pool. We highly recommend your resort and we looking forward to come back as soon as possible.

We stayed at Anantara Mina Al Arab RAK for 7 nights from the 20th to the 27th January 2025. We were in RAK predominately to see the DP World Tour Golf that was taking place at Al Hamra Golf Club down the road (10 mins by taxi). We made the decision to stay at the Anantara (rather than the Waldorf Astoria/Sofitel which are next to Al Hamra Golf) due to the reviews on Tripadvisor etc and we were so glad we did. We were absolutely delighted by our stay at the hotel. The property is very new (about 12 months old) and has a very Thai inspired feel to it. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful, immaculate, very well-tended and have a very peaceful feel to them. We booked the standard premier room and one word WOW. We had a room overlooking the sea inlet and across to Mina Al Arab (construction ongoing but not an issue). The room was beautiful, spacious and as good a standard room we have ever stayed in. Lots of traditional colours, themes but very hi tec and a loverly large balcony. We went Half Board and the food across all the outlets was amazing. Probably one of the best buffets we have had (and we are very well traveled). Not huge but lots of fresh, tasty and fine food. The breakfast buffet was very good and you have to try their omelets!! The beach is lovely and didn’t try the watersports (the prices are very high and would attract much more usage if lowered/deals at certain times of day). Same with the spa although the steam room/sauna are free to use and they are great. Some reviewers have mentioned the problem with the pool with many of the mosaic (small) tiles coming free. It’s obviously an issue for the hotel and not great given the age of the pool but it’s not really an issue for bathers. The biggest plus point of the hotel though is the staff. In over 25 years travelling the world and staying in some fabulous 5* hotels the staff here are amazing. Kind, courteous, engaging and happy. There are too many to mention by name but just a few who really stood out. Saqlain, Ayo, Kissan (amazing pasta chef!), Asama and Scott in the buffet. Ritson had a loverly chat with us at Asana the BBQ night (worth trying on half board for a small surcharge). Management is EXTREMELEY visible, which is really good to see. It got a bit busy at the weekend and standards slipped a bit but maybe from 10/10 to 9/10!! Hardly any downside at all, which is very rare. Perhaps the biggest issue was the half board. We went to the Beach House and Mekong and both menus for half board were very restrictive (max of five starters, mains and deserts). It made us feel a little bit like a second class diner. The food was great at both venues but we didn’t go back purely because of the restrictive mature of the menus, which is a real pity given that there are no other dining venues close to the hotel. To be fair we raised it and they spoke to us but didn’t offer a viable solution. The half board was in effect an opening offer so maybe we should not have expected to much and the buff
