Lotus an Eco Beach Resort Dapoli Murud

Nice cottage house! Right in front of beach. It was like a private beach just for us.Good hospitality. Rare bird sightseeing kingfisher,white belly Sea eagles and lots of more. Don't forget to carry a good pair of bird watching binoculars.

The experience did not justify the excessive charges they impose. There are several issues that need to be addressed before they can claim to offer the quality of a 5-star hotel. Firstly, the bathroom exhausts are poorly installed, leaving gaps around the walls. This poses a serious privacy concern, as the ducts are easily accessible from the outside. I've attached a picture for reference. Additionally, rooms on the top floor have similar gaps leading to the terrace area. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in these rooms is ineffective. We switched rooms twice, but the problem persisted. The property has an issue with stray dogs. Guests often place room service plates outside their doors, which the dogs then lick. I sincerely hope these plates are thoroughly washed with plenty of dish soap, or else the hygiene is questionable. The restaurant management is another major disappointment. In the past, they used to serve authentic Konkani thalis, but now they've switched to a buffet system that doesn't live up to expectations. The quality of North Indian and Chinese dishes is subpar, and frankly, they should not offer a buffet if they can't prepare these cuisines properly. When visiting Konkan, guests expect traditional Konkani food, not something like chicken chili. They need to better understand their customers’ preferences. The restaurant’s timing is also an issue. The staff repeatedly calls guests as closing time approaches, which is disruptive. The restaurant closes at 10:30 pm, which feels too early for a holiday destination. Lastly, the beach has deteriorated significantly. In recent years, cars are often driven recklessly on the beach, which is unsafe, especially for families with children. The hotel management should report this to the police, as it's becoming increasingly dangerous. Drunk individuals can be seen openly drinking in their cars and then driving around the area.

Situated 50 m from the beach, Lotus offers great experience. Special thanks to their restaurant staff Gauri, Madhavi, Niwas & Swapnil for providing hot food & milk for my child. Dapoli isnt a place where you get basic necessities at close distance, but I really had no worries with the help from hotel staff. Since this was 1st beach outing for my child, I wanted to make sure everything is in place & Lotus had taken care of all requirements. 1 of the most basic things i usually find missing even in Goa resorts is a tap or shower after coming back from beach, but Lotus had it right there. The food at their restaurant Wadi is really good. We had almost all meals there & although prices may appear a little higher, it was well worth it to dine in the comfort of our room. The rooms are big & had ample of space for my child to play. Pool was extremely clean & well maintained, hot water was almost there all the time, so was power with the back they had. We enjoyed the time at Lotus & will definitely visit again.

This place is so beautiful and cozy. The view is beautiful. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The food is amazing and the staff is so soft spoken. Siddhant, Hardik , Suraj , Aditya and specially Mrunali was so helpful to us. She made sure we had the best stay and was really warm. One must really visit this place once. Because of the hygiene, view, food and happy memories.
