Tree Roots Retreat

The bed is so comfy and the vibe is really chill and relaxing! Love the hosts and all their sweet pets! The rooms are huge and so spacious. Will definitely go back soon. It's the perfect retreat out of Bangkok. You can go surfing or walk the beach that's is just around the corner.

I absolutely enjoyed my time at Tree Roots. Carol and Dennis are fantastic hosts who made my stay extremely enjoyable. As a continual traveller, sometimes a booking does not live up to its expectations. This was not the case for Tree Roots, I found the reviews and depiction to reflect accurately upon my arrival. The getaway is nestled in a quiet corner close to the beach which provided me a desperately needed getaway to relax and recharge. I quite enjoyed the peaceful mornings and evenings, taking time to listen beautiful birdsong of stormbirds and others. The library has a wonderful “old book smell” and thousand of choices, I only wish I had a longer stay! I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

I booked the hotel (for four nights) as a compromise between where I needed to be and what I hoped would make my family happy. It turned into one of the nicest holidays we've had in years. Dennis and Carol were our hosts, and they were incredibly friendly and generous with their time. We had a good time patting the iguana with Dennis and Carol allowed us to meet their white boa constrictor, name of Tofu. Oh, sorry, the Hotel. Rooms were spacious, great bed, huge bathroom and even included a loft if you needed more space. Pool right outside the room and it was all just comfortable. Nine in the morning is sport with Nash and my daughter truly enjoyed it. To sum up: If you want the typical hotel stay, this may not be for you. It is not on the beach, and the small number of rooms means you probably won't encounter your future spouse. However, if you want to borrow a bike and pedal down to the beach and return to a quiet room at the end of the day, I can highly recommend Tree Roots Retreat.
