Convento Sao Paulo - Hotel Rural

Wir waren 3 Tage lang zum Geburtstag im Hotel. Der Services einfach super !!! Vom Geburtstagsgeschenk bis zur Einladung zum Candellight-Haus-Sekt nach dem Dinner hat sich das Personal alle Mühe gegeben den Tag zu etwas Besonderen zu machen. Ein großes Dankeschön ! Sowohl unsere Suiten, als auch das Essen war 5 Sterne ! Das Convent ist eine Oase !!! Wir kommen gern wieder !

We were part of self guided Portugal Nature Trails bike trip. Amazing historic location! Coming up the hill on our e bikes viewing this beautiful place was a little heaven! Loved the way they have kept the historic parts, like the chapel , to view. The pools were beautiful. Our room was luxuriously simple. Also the hall lamps are filled with olive oil and lit at night! The four of us enjoyed eating outside on the patio for dinner. The only negative was my meal didn't show up until half an hour after everyone else. We enjoyed the tomato soup and cheese board but then everyone else meal, beef I believe showed up. We did ask about my duck and our waiter said soon. Half an hour is not soon! The duck and our dessert was wonderful but timely is key here. As we checked out we were told I should have contacted the office but I assumed the restaurant knew what they were doing. Loved the cork trees and the pottery in Redondo!

Room 151. Belle. Bien meublée. 2 Terrasses privées. Proche de la piscine. L hôtel ancien couvent est juste magnifique. Chargé d histoire. Sublime. Beau. Deux églises à l intérieur. Ce lieu est magique.

Stunning location, cork oaks and pine forests and forest trails through the hills. Beautiful building, tastfully restored and gorgeous pools and sundecks. Restaurant is good and wholesome food, not overly expensive. stayed in one of the Annex near stone cross above the main drive. Near Estremoz and Redondo. This place is a gem, a perfect place for a pampering. Tennis courts, cycling, country pursuits.

We went to this convent for lunch. Although we didn't stay overnight we would have loved to have done so. For those who like historic places it would be hard to beat. The lunch was excellent and reasonably priced considering the superb surroundings. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when we asked about what to see the two friendly receptionists directed us, so we didn't miss anything.

Since 2017 the Convento is every year a must in our Portugal trip. this is our most favorite spot in the country. This summer we spent 10 days, and we are always feeling sad when we have to leave. This place becomes our second home. A special words of thanks for the fantastic girls from the reception: Maria, Izabel, Rita, Inez. No question is too much, they are always so helpful and kind.Also some very correct and friendly waiters is the restaurant like Fabio and Luis. And of course Carolina as the kitchen supervisor.And the most kind guys from the technical service. Only compliments for them and for the whole staff. Breakfast is always fine and fresh, and diner was mostly very good and tasteful. There could be some more choices, specially if you stay longer, but we understand the products and food delivery problems this year by the War. We love the spiritual, magical atmosphere from this place, and the fantastic surroundings of mountains and woods is for us a paradise. And the beautiful pools , A big Plus is the adults pool, because you can enjoy a peaceful swim and relax, without the noise of screaming children. Beautiful very nice decorated salon with an open fire and the old Steinway piano.We stay mostly in the Viscondessa suite, but all rooms are comfortable and decorated with a real fine sober elegant taste, thanks to Joana.
