Hotel Rosi

This is a tough review to write, because most aspects of our stay were great, but the one that wasn’t affected our experience pretty negatively. This was a standard hotel room with 2 double beds and private bath with shower. We were on the 3rd floor (counting European style), 4th floor by US counts. There was no fridge, but for one night we didn’t miss it. The location is great, especially if you are arriving by train. It is about 7-10 minutes’ walk from the station and also in the historic center of town, so you are in the UNESCO area and can explore it on foot. The hotel is a small operation, but friendly. We enjoyed the welcome drink they offered. Their reception desk closes in the evening. Now for the problematic part: the AC. When we got into the room, it was great. It stayed that way into the evening and when we went to bed. Then I woke up at 12:43 AM feeling really warm. The AC didn’t seem to be running. I tried fiddling with it, but got nowhere. Eventually everybody else woke up hot. DH looked at the AC and thought that maybe it had been centrally turned off and locked: there was a padlock symbol on the digital display. We couldn’t call down to the front desk to ask because they had closed hours earlier. I opened the windows because the air from outside was cooler than in our room. Eventually we fell back asleep, but it definitely tainted our experience. Because we were there just one night, I didn’t bother to ask if the AC had been shut off. I understand that energy costs are high, but this would have been a really lousy time for an automatic shut-off given the excessive heat warning and the floor we were on. As I walked down to buy breakfast the next morning the temperature difference between our room and street level was noticeable. And if it’s hotel policy, they could inform guests so we know to open the windows at night. Alternatively, maybe the AC had just broken, but it had been working wonderfully just a few hours before. My recommendation, then, depends on when you would be visiting. If you stay at a cooler time of year, I see nothing wrong with this hotel. But if you are going in summer, especially during a heat wave, I can’t recommend it.

Hotel Rosi is a family hotel. This makes it a personal experience! The hotel has charm, is very clean and comfortable, and in an excellent location. It’s an easy walk from the Hauptbahnhof and into the Altstadt. Breakfast was excellent, with hot scrambled egg, breads, cold meats and cheese, cereals, tea and coffee and juices etc. Little touches such as fresh herbs, basil as a decoration on the cheese made it homely. We even had a welcome beer and Prosecco!

10/10 would recommend and come back again. Great location, in close walking distance to all the attractions. Nice clean stylish rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was excellent as well. Parking for a small fee right around the corner.

Great hotel close to everything. Walking distance from the train station, close to the old city. Centrally located to see everything in a day. Hotel is very clean, beds are so comfortable, great hot water for showers. Breakfast is wonderful with lots of choices and always fresh and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

This fairly small hotel is rather "exquisite" because of being family owned and thus less "formal" than the average type of hotel. Its decoration was "family" oriented with pictures and paintings of the actual owner. The bedroom we were accommodated at was big and the morning breakfast was clearly the best we had throughout our 11 day trip to Germany.

Hotel is grossly overrated. it is only budget Hotel with a small rooms and mini bath . At the check the room (106) was smelly , and small The floor was not swap long time ago.window faced to walkway where people for other rooms walk back and forward. Regardless with have booked the hotel 4 months advanced and reconfirm our arrival, we ended up with this room. We can not leave since hotel is charging the stay in advance. Otherwise will would leave. We do not recommend this hotel to regular travelers.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cet hôtel pour venir visiter Regensburg et ses alentours( nous venons de France). Hôtel bien placé, parking proche avec tarif préférentiel pour clients Hôtel ( 10 euros pour 24heures ). Hôtel chaleureux où nous avons été bien accueilli, personnel souriant et sympathique. Chambre agréable,calme , propre et nettoyée tous les jours . L' espace petit déjeuner est très chaleureux,cosi, personnel agréable, très bon , varié et bcq de choix ! Top! Nous conseillons

Also, in dirsem Urlaub hatten wir so ziemlich alles an Hotels bis zu super Luxus, aber "Rosi" überzeugt mit Service, Service und Lage. Unser Zimmer ist frisch renoviert und praktisch eingerichtet, das Auto parkt im öffentlichen Parkhaus aber zu Spezialkondition und ich denke, alles was sich in der schönen Stadt anzusehen lohnt, ist easy zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Rezeption teilt man sich corona bedingt mit dem Hotel gegenüber. Das Frühstück gibt's als Teil-Büffet mit super Service: ich meinte morgens zu meinem Mann dass alles super war ausser dem Kopfkissen, woraufhin mich ein netter Herr ansprach, dass ich selbstverständlich ein anderes haben könnte. Spitze!

Wir haben eine Kurzreise mit der Bahn nach Regensburg gemacht und dabei in diesem kleinen Hotel übernachtet. Es ist ca. fünf Minuten zu Fuss vom Hauptbahnhof und eine Viertel Stunde von der Steinernen Brücke an der Donau entfernt. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Da es zwei Matratzen im Doppelbett gab, konnte man auch super schlafen. Das Personal war super freundlich. Wir konnten den Koffer bis 18 Uhr im Hotel vor unserer Abreise lassen. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Es gab frisches Obst, Eier, Müsli sowie das Übliche. Auch die Kaffee- und Teeauswahl war große und Tee und Kaffee waren gut. Sogar eine Art Prosecco gab es, den wir aber nicht probierten. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall wieder buchen und können es nur weiterempfehlen.
