Mercure Reims Centre Cathédrale

Hotel is located about 10 min away from Cathedral near highway off-ramp. Check-in was efficient and welcoming. They offered a complementary coupon for a champagne on-site with some munchies in the lobby. The room was good size Europe. But I would consider this as a 3-3.5 star vs 4 star hotel as the finishing was just a bit tacky with purple themes, wine, grapes, etc ... I would have preferred a gym on-site. The breakfast was bountiful and a great selection. I would stay in this hotel again for the price.

We had a nice room (wheel chair accessible) with enough space around the bed. The bathroom was spacious. Walk to city Center is around 10 minutes. And parking is easy at the hotel. Breakfast was okay. Unfortunately the bar closes quite early.

It is no longer a four star hotel - the bathroom is inadequate, old. The location is good, not far from the old center and the newer center of town. The hotel sits by the river and is not too noisy, the windows keep out a lot of sound.

Situated close to the Cathedral and perfect for exploring Reims. It is what you would expect from a Mercure and we would certainly visit again. Room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Very good breakfast included in our stay.

This hotel, although marked with 4 stars, really does not deserves it. And even if the staff is explaining you that it will be redecorated soon, the amenities, decoration and many other details, except the price, are giving you the idea that they confused the perception of the value and price. The walls and wooden pieces in corridors are damaged. The staff is not so pleasant (at least the girl at the reception). I have the loyalty card from the group, and on my question if the day of departure we can stay one hour late she answered no, but they will allow us to stay till noon and even keep our luggage!!!!! Excuse me!!??? This is our right, and not your generosity!

Centrally located for the cathedral and town centre . 10 minutes walk Railway station 10 mins in a taxi Superb hotel in terms of welcome and decor on arrival . Superb room , we had an executive room with bath robes , slippers and little fridge . Well worth it Z we also paid for breakfast which was worth it Great selection of continental meats, breads and cereals and well as bacon and scrambled eggs . Good choice of hot drinks We also had an evening meal in the restaurant and that was ok . Good choice and reasonable price Room facilities good. Kettle , coffee machine hair driver . Welcoming staff. Good location with a short 10 minute walk to the cathedral. No exciting views from room. The basement parking to the hotel is very limited and the spaces small; costs 10 euro per day but there is open parking close by for 4 euro per day. The foyer had a sewerage smell often masked with a perfumed spray; hotel decor and furnishings throughout are very shabby and this hotel is desperately in need of an upgrade. I am not sure how it gets it’s 4 star rating when compared to Mercure, Troyes! The breakfast was continental and limited with the coffee machines a struggle for most users (observed many confused users and no-one to help). Overall this hotel was a huge disappointment.
