Grand Hôtel des Templiers

We will come back and stay longer! The hotel is within walking distance of the train station if you decide to walk. The staff is wonderful! The hotel has so much character; it is beautiful! I suggest asking for their breakfast; it is delicious. Most importantly, most places in town open after 10 AM. The rooms are spacious and beautiful!

My friend and I thought this was the best hotel we stayed in during our France visit. Great service, the bedrooms were lovely and the coffee delicious. It was off the beaten track so it was a quiet location in a neighborhood. There is even parking in the back which was convenient.

Misleading info on website. NO Concierge Service. Poor follow through by the Hotel Desk on messages sent to us in response to our queries. Interior is extremely dated and tired - carpets are threadbare, furniture is old and worn out, there is only ONE person managing the reception desk, the kitchen, and responding to customer queries. Poor Management. Had to remind the reception everyday to restock complementary tea and water in our room. The Manager was nowhere to be seen and neither did he/she bother to follow-up on our complaints during the entire 4 days of our stay.

The hotel is what I would call "classic" trying to be historic. Its really a small and cramped hotel, run on a shoe string with one member of staff checking guests in, managing car park and trying to serve drinks in their bar that is closed but open! It does not have a restaurant that was disappointing and he breakfast was poor so avoid. its close proximity to the road makes it a little noisy and access to the small car park is tricky if you have anything other than a very small car. Room was clean.

Adorable hotel tucked in the heart of Reims. We totally enjoyed our 3night stay at Grand Hotel des Templiers. It is grand, you enter via a lovely portico to a charming hotel. Our rooms were small but perfect for a single. My sister and I don’t share rooms and enjoyed the “jewel boxes”. Breakfast was delicious and the quaint bar was perfect for a relaxing drink in the evening.

Very comfortable room, friendly staff and enclosed parking. Perfect for overnight stop to the south of France and the hotel made good restaurant recommendations. Express breakfast simple but nicely served. We would recommend this hotel.

Been staying at this hotel for nearly 20 years now. Rarely changes much which is good as it suits us well. Unique and slightly quirky. Beautiful rooms and decoration. Perhaps a little frayed but lots of character. The staff are lovely and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. Private secure parking and great location a short walk from the centre of Reims.

We stayed here for one night en route from Switzerland to England. This hotel offers everything you would want for such a stay. Easy to find, on site parking, friendly and helpful reception staff, very comfortable bedroom and a nice breakfast. Plus it is well located in the centre of Reims so lots of opportunity to walk around this beautiful city. We will most definitely stay here again!

How this is 4 stars is beyond me. Multiple times trying to get help at front desk and no one was around. Even went into the kitchen while the one gentleman was cleaning up and he never asked once if I needed help. I booked a single room for 2 nights, which was clean and generally pleasant. But I will stop there because for the price, it was absolutely not worth the value. Thankfully I did not add the breakfast and it was much better to walk into town to a boulangerie for coffee and a croissant. In the room, the shower/tub is a MAJOR step up to get into which for many can be hazardous, the toilet area is TINY and I barely fit in that area. The A/C is OK, not great but the local weather was pleasant while I was there. The room has a regular key with a very large attachment and tassle, thus it was hard to fit into my tiny crossover bag while exploring the town. I did NOT want service in my room but was unable to tell anyone as no one was at the front desk, as I previously mentioned. And I came back and there was definitely someone in the room trying to freshen it up. I paid 175 Euros per night. That room was worth no more than 125 Euros, IMO. Finally, the credit card receipt shows 2 Euro more than the printed receipt!
