Kings Park Hotel

We stayed here for a family trip and we had a lovely stay. The staff are so nice and can't do enough to help. The owner is Always polite and greets you with a smile on the way in. Which for me staff are important in contributing to a good stay. Room was so clean and cosy and when we had issues they were dealt with straight away. Breakfast is basic but served our needs and we were happy with it. Great value for money. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Lovely room overlooking the park. It was very clean, bathroom gleaming, and lovely quality bedding, comfy bed too. Very helpful and friendly gentleman at reception to meet us. We didn’t have time for breakfast. I would stay again, thank you.

Really not up to standard. Reception poorly managed especially in evening, breakfast was dismal and really poor set up . Really awful choice and like a school breakfast club . Bedroom had stain on carpet, tired decor and tv took ages to work. Toilet was not 100% clean. Would not recommend

This hotel was a real disappointment, photos made it look lovely next to a beautiful park. Nobody at reception when we arrived and had to ring a mobile number. Checked in and given room details we were staying in the apartment at the top of the building. No lifts, stays dark, in need of some new paint and wall paper. No restaurant on site, carpets very poor. Our room was very bare, flickering light in bathroom on vanity mirror which needed attention. 2 bulbs out in bathroom. Bedroom very small and scruffy. Lounge area huge but very old furniture and stained carpet. We were offered another room but it had old dirty furniture and carpet stained This was a horrible hotel it markets itself a boutique well I have seen better student accommodation We left without staying and found another hotel out of the town centre. £97 lost but hey ho.

Avoid this horror show of a ‘hotel’. It is very unclean, most everything there is broken (e.g. the taps, toilet roll holder, shower head etc.) and when we did ask for something to be replaced (a torn bedsheet) it was replaced with something far worse (one that was stained and had cigarette burns on it). The photos and description that are used to promote this hotel are highly misleading - there’s no bar, no restaurant, and no cooked breakfast. The breakfast in fact consisted of some pieces of bread, a few yoghurts you couldn’t eat as there were no small spoons, some plastic wrapped products that looked awful, and coffee in a dark, dirty and freezing cold room. There’s also no housekeeping so if you do unfortunately end up staying more than one night, nothing in the room will be made up, cleaned and/or replaced. There’s no staff around the majority of the time (including at night so it’s not really a safe place to stay) - instead, it seems to be ran by two men who spend most of their time, when they are there, either standing or sitting on the street outside smoking. In summary, it was an absolutely appalling experience.

Colleague recommended we stay here based on good experiences in the past. He said it had gone down hill a lot. My room looked okay on first glance but when you look closer there were issues. Paint/plaster coming off wall. Stains to carpet. Bathroom radiator hanging off wall. Brackets in bathroom for shelf and soap dispenser but neither present. Attention to detail missing which is a shame as this could be a really good hotel. Would not stay again
