Ionia Suites

This hotel was amazing. One of my top 3 favorites in Crete. I highly recommend staying here. I only wish I stayed two nights here. Definitely worth it. Breakfast read included and an amazing selection. They even gave me a little gift when checking out. I would remove this to anyone coming to Crete.

The Ionia suites are simply beautiful! We arrived at 2pm and our room 303 was available immediately. This is a small hotel with about 20 rooms which is perfect for us. We were on floor 3, the top floor with the rooftop swimming pool close by. The pool was small but really nice and peaceful. In fact the whole place is peaceful which made our stay perfect. The room was a nice size, exceptionally clean, the balcony overlooked the front of the hotel and was quite small but did get the sun which was nice. The road is quite busy so there is some noise . This did not bother us as it created a nice atmosphere. A great location only about 100 metres from the beach. The Old Town is a 15 minute walk . Turn right out of the hotel and it’s a straight, flat , easy stroll. We visited in May so the walk was lovely. This may be different in the height of the season when it gets very hot but taxis were plentiful-, however the walk is very nice. The service from all of the staff was perfect. The small dining room for breakfast was beautiful, although I went down most mornings and brought breakfast up to the room and ate on the balcony. The restaurants in the Old Town are amazing . Don’t bother with the ones along the front by the beach. Rethymnon and the Ionia Suites are perfect for a relaxing holiday in withbeautiful food
