Hotel Ideon

The customer service at this hotel was second to none. We had to leave our hotel, as they were closing on the day of our departure and we had 9 hours before our transfer arrived. After trying to rearrange our hotel transfer, they suggested for us to be collected from this hotel and I am so glad they did. Such a warm welcome. The team were so genuine and lovely for the short time we were there. We only used the room to store our luggage, to freshen up later in the day and have a couple of drinks, they even had happy hour before 6pm!! But each member of the team were so kind and their smiles were amazing. Well done hotel Ideon, fantastic customer service, you are a credit to your profession.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with a group. The rooms were non-fussy with all we needed and plenty of storage for us to unpack. The facilities were excellent from the well-presented and varied breakfast buffet to the welcome happy hour at the end of the day. The staff were exemplary, unfailingly helpful, kind and good -natured. Particularly, for us, the staff on reception who went above and beyond for us. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic hotel in a super sea front location. We were delighted with our hotel and room which was recently renovated. We had a room with balcony over looking the sea and front which did cost €30 extra a night but worth it. Super modern amenities in our room and the air conditioning very effective. Our bathroom was clean, modern and had a huge walk in shower. There is a fridge & hairdryer in room. The breakfast was great lots of choice. Anastasia one of the ladies who work there is so helpful and chatty and made the best cappuccino. All the staff are accommodating and friendly. The outside bar at front serves a good choice of drinks and cocktails all served to you. The hotel is very efficiently run and all staff speak good English. It is also perfectly positioned for the fort, just to left of hotel and the old town where all the shops and excellent restaurants are. The harbour is to the right of hotel. The beach is about 10 minutes walk and is easy to get too. We did hire a car for one day to go to Elafonissi beach, in our opinion over rated, pay to park, use toilet and it’s a bun fight to get a sunbed again at a cost. Didn’t see pink sand just lots of people. Rethymno beach is better. Would highly recommend this hotel and would return here if coming to Crete again.

Excellent experience - everything one could ask for to make their holiday an amazing one. The staff were so friendly and helpful, cleanliness was exceptional, food delicious. Location perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a fantastic holiday. We just loved it and will definitely go back. Thank you to all the staff- to mention a few names- Stefanie, George, Constantine and the other bar man with the beard. Also to all the breakfast staff- a big thank you. The Ideon Hotel is a gem. Located on the outskirts of the Old Town the hotel is literally close to shops , restaurants,beach anything u really want.We have been coming to Rethymno for 3 years now and this was our first stay at the Ideon ,but it not be our last (we already booked for next year).We stayed in a double room ,balcony overlooking the pool on a bed and breakfast basis.The hotel is spotless starting with the lobby and finishing with the rooms.The bar and the terrace in front of the hotel overlooking the sea is perfect for unwinding with a cold drink.The rooms are not massive but for us they were enough .Rooms are cleaned daily and I cannot thank the staff enough for their work. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice (in my opinion) catering to everyone (cold cuts, cheese platters,olives,fried eggs ,bacon , yogurt,cereal ,coffee ,tea etc).The staff working in the hotel are brilliant, nothing is to much for them and we were always greeted with a smile and Kalimera.We are sorry for not learning their names but from what we know a big shout out to Stefania and George from The Separe bar ,they were brilliant. All in all we had a fantastic stay at The Ideon and are counting down the days till our next day in our paradise that we call Rethymno! Many thanks Oana &Sarah Pamintas ❤️

We recommend this hotel!! beautiful rooms and pool, very nice staff my family and I are very happy with ou r vacation in this place the food was very delicious, we had a room not in central hotel, it was in the attic and in additons by the pool The City center and the sea are close to the hotel
