Backyard Apartments by Heimaleiga

First the pros: this is in a great location in Reykjavik .. right on the street where there’s lots of shopping areas and restaurants. You are a 5 min walk to the coast, and 10 min walk to the church, Harpa, etc. The apartment itself is small but clean. It has an industrial look, so cement walls and stuff like that but you get a fridge, stove even plates and cups (no microwave tho) we liked that we didn’t need a key (everything was a code) so we didn’t have to worry about carrying a keycard or something. The cons: No parking. You will have to find street parking, which was not an issue but the amount you have to pay is. We used the Parka app and it helped us a lot. No Air conditioning or fan. We visited in the summer and it was hot. There are not many windows and they don’t open fully either so it was stuffy in the room. We had to open our door instead which was inconvenient since people were walking by and stuff. If you are staying for a long time.. we stayed for 6 days.. we had to really clean everything ourselves (including sweeping the floor) ur in Iceland so ur probably trekking or out in the rain, mud, dirt. I think they have a cleaning service but it’s an extra fee. They offer a washer/dryer but the dryer was not working when we were there which ******.
