Crown Inn

Unfortunately did not stay here, was in the elan hotel around the corner but went here for a meal on the Saturday night after having an awful lunch in the elan. Meal and service was excellent , varied menu and the food was reasonably priced, it was very busy but we were seated and served without having to wait long.

Well run bar and restaurant, food was very good, breakfast served over the road at Ty Morgans was excellent, good quality ingredients. Room No. 2 was small but comfortable, the en suite in need of a make over toilet brush was disgusting 🫣. Would stay again.

Sunday lunch. We booked the table a few weeks ago and just as well as there was a steady stream of people turned away as they were fully booked. Sunday lunch was beef, turkey or salmon for £12.99. We had beef. Pipping hot and large portions, good selection of veg. Three desserts on the menu, tasty that we tried. Highly recommend. Inside, the pub is old fashioned, beams and dark. If that is not your thing go elsewhere. Staff were very nice and efficient. Our bill was ~£60. Excellent value we thought.

So disappointed mismatch furniture bathroom really dirty the next morning someone barged in without knocking saying we should have checked out by now even though we had booked for two nights... We stayed in room one the mattress felt like I could feel every spring even though they had put two mattress toppers which were thin. Every time you moved it ruffled the toppers up so you ended up sleeping with a massive crease across your back. Paid £90 per night my friend booked for the same day and she paid 40 pound the excuse was we booked at different times. The lady that worked in the Crown was lovely and helpful given us good advice on where to go and the food was lovely just wish the decor of the Crown carried on into the rooms..

We stayed the night of 6th April, as a midway stop between north and south Wales. We arrived pretty late but we’re immediately welcomed and although the kitchens were about to close they prepared three lovely meals, including a vegan meal for myself . Service was excellent. Our rooms were clean and cosy, and breakfast can be had at a nearby cafe.

The noise was unreal. Literally sounds like your laying on the pub floor. So if you want peace and hope to get sleep then forget staying here. Uncomfortable beds. Dated decor. Bathroom was terrible and the shower pressure was almost non existent. No parking. Breakfast isn’t included. It was just a waste of money considering around 11am I actually considered going to sleep in the car to get a better sleep!
