The Gales is a beautiful B&B perfect located just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Rhinebeck. The owners were the most friendly couple and were absolutely fantastic with our children. The Family Area in the upstairs of the house was perfect for us, with a separate twin bedroom for the children and a large private bathroom. I can't wait to return.

We had a lovely time there. Visited the Roosevelt home and Eleanor's home. Had delicious dinner at Beckman Arms and stayed at the Inn. We hope to come back again! We stayed at Beekman Arms Delamater Inn. It was lovely. Had a delicious dinner at the Inn. We hope to come back again!

Luxurious and comfortable- with lovely thoughtful touches and friendly, welcoming Innkeepers. Wonderful location--easy walk into town- for good shopping and great food and drinks. Short drive to Bard College, hikes, Hudson, and other sites. Will return!

Location, location, location was great! In town, off main road , convenient parking and plenty of place & restaurants to explore. The inn was homey and our room, ‘ Sugar loaf’ was very clean and comfortable. The large bathroom had lots of character with a claw tub / shower combo. However, for anyone with mobility or balance issues this room is not for you. I would suggest one downstairs with separate shower because the upstairs tub was a bit slippery and difficult to navigate. Otherwise, we had a lovely time and the inn keepers were very hospitable and responsive either in person or text. We were aware of the limited breakfast option (fresh croissants & coffee) but it was fine since there are lots of restaurants including a diner in town and the Culinary Institute is a 15 minute drive for a fun lunch. All in all this inn was nice to come back to after a long day exploring the region. ..

The Gables is an ideal spot for a short or long stay. I spent five nights and was pleased to have fresh coffee each morning. The rooms are lovely and quite comfortable. The location is ideal for walking into town for great restaurants and shopping. The hosts are attentive and friendly. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Already planning to return for a fifth stay!

Absolutely loved staying at The Gables of Rhinebeck! Beautiful inn, excellent attention to detail, warm and friendly hosts. The coffee is great too. We were in the Blue Ridge room. Everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Rhinebeck is my new favorite town upstate.

The Gables is everything it describes itself to be: close to village activity, easy check-in, on-site parking, delicious morning pastry, modern comforts in a very comfortable Hudson Valley atmosphere. Discuss your mobility/accessibility needs with your hosts before booking. This is an old home (in beautiful condition!) with steep stairs, wide-plank floors, tight parking space, and small antique tubs. We loved the church bells, though others have noted them as a caution.

This B&B is in a great location - walkable to all of Rhinebeck's restaurants and stores. Breakfast is coffee & a danish. The only detriment is the chime of the church clock across the street, but it does stop between 10 PM and 7 AM. So if you're out and about, you won't even notice. But if you need a nap or want to sleep in, you have been warned! We stayed in the Storm King suite and appreciated the extra space. Helpful hosts were available if needed.

Once again, I had a fabulous stay at the Gables. The check-in is seamless and easy and the owner gives you a long list of local restaurants and great things to do in the area. My room was upstairs and I highly recommend that as it is very quiet and you literally feel like you are in your own world. The bathroom has pretty black and white tiles and a vintage bathtub which also works as a shower. The bed is high up off the floor and is very comfortable. There is a nice flat screen Tv. The furniture in the room is country/ provincial and there is a set of drawers and a closet. Breakfast consists of croissants and good coffee. Outside, there are flowers and a hammock. The innkeepers, Pamela and her husband are very nice and helpful. This might be the best place you could stay in Rhinebeck and in Duchess county, I prefer to stay during the week when the town is less crowded
