Golden Odyssey Hotel - All Inclusive

Dimitris at the bar was amazing. He made our stay really pleasant. We had issues with our room and other staff but dimitris really made the experience much better. He always spoke to us and made us feel welcome. He deserves recognition and a pay rise!! He is a asset to the hotel

After reading good and bad reviews on this hotel we decided to book and see for ourselves, we really do not understand the low ratings of some of the reviews we read. we found the hotel grounds fantastic with plenty of sunbeds and plenty of pools to choose from. The grounds had such lovely trees and flowers that smelt so good. The wildlife was all around us with birds flying in and out of the hotel, sitting in the trees and flying down to sit on our sunbeds. We flew out on our anniversary and landed on our daughters 13th birthday, our first breakfast we were greeted and welcomed, the waitress Leda was amazing and when we told her it was our daughters birthday she stayed and chatted for a bit, we saw her every morning and she was so helpful, our 2nd breakfast she gave our daughter a present which was totally unexpected, she explained when she had her 13th birthday her mother gave her pearls, in the box attached to the necklace was 3 pearls an amazing gesture and something our daughter will always remember. Leda also helped us to speak a little Greek which we think the locals appreciated when we were out and about. The food in the restaurant was amazing with a wide variety to choose from, it was so fresh and now we are back in the UK we miss it so much, freshly made pizza was great and the fresh fruit and veg was something we enjoyed, all meats and fish had such flavour, Michael the Manager greeted us every time we entered the restaurant with a handshake and a chat, Michaels wife of 42 years also made it a great experience. All the staff were great, my phone got water damage and the reception helped me by getting rice from the kitchen and when we told them we only had one pillow each they had extras put in our room the same day. The cleaners were also very good making sure our room was cleaned every day. The Barman Dimitries was really good and made our daughter a kids cocktail and always engaging in conversation. The olive oil we tried from him was also amazing. We were a 20 min walk from the beach but what a walk it was, it often took us longer as we kept stopping to take photos. Its not to say there wasnt some bad points about the hotel, we arrived late at night and was greeted by a grumpy receptionist which we have experienced also in other hotels when arriving late at night, the rooms were a bit basic and although improvements had been made they wasnt finished to the highest standard and the mattresses were hard but was somewhere we could put our head at night. This did not spoil our holiday one bit as all of the above completely made up for a slightly basic room.

Overall great stay went purely for the kids they had non stop fun with all the pools and kids club activities restaurant was always a good experience the staff couldn’t do enough and the food although I eat with my eyes was actually really tasty I had an issue with my room initially reported to main desk and got upgraded again they couldn’t do enough But the most special thanks goes to the bar manager Dimitris Drakos who when we arrived late hours was a friendly face who made us feel so welcome every single day and made special efforts for us including going out of his way to give the girls little presents all round pleasant holiday thank you for having us see you again.

We had a lovely stay, we was here for just 1 week the staff were so nice and accommodating. Dimitri the bartender was welcoming, nice was like we had been there ages. The hotel was clean there was always staff making sure it was kept we that way. The lunch menu could do with switching up a little as there is a lot of the same thing at dinner time. I would highly recommend.

Rearly recommend this hotel great for kids foods lovely all staff very nice and helpful great entertainment damitri and Micheal rearly lovely people very helpful and welcoming theyv became good friends of ares 😃thanks for making are stay comfortable ☀️👙

Absolutely amazing hotel food at restaurant and pool bar delicious, lovely room very clean hotel, staff are amazing kind they felt like part of our family especially dimitris from bar and Micheal from restaurant we all had an amazing holiday highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
