Very basic hotel, terrible shower,dated bedroom, lunch ok but breakfast and dinner not acceptable,cold food, entertainment virtually non existent,you definitely get what you pay for,my advice pay more for a decent hotel, I wish we did ,can't understand the 5 star reviews I have read,it's impossible for this hotel to be rated 5 stars in my opinion, you wonder if these 5 star reviewers have even stayed here

What can I say, arrived the end of May and sadly going home today (3/6/2025. Not the newest of hotels but the rooms were nice and clean with fresh bedding regularly changed fresh towels everyday. When we arrived it was very quiet only 8 of us around the pool at anyone time but got busier toward us the end of our stay. The food was OK and enough choice for my husband and myself although it could of been hotter. A few people complained about not enough choice. There was a greek night and a circus show, which was entertaining. What really made our holiday special was the staff who could not do enough for you (although some people just expected to be waited on hand and foot with not even a please or a thank you) Zuzana on reception who surprised us with flowers in our room for our wedding anniversary. Maria in the restaurant in the evening , who always had a smile on her face and was enthusiastic about the soup, although I must say the soup was lovely every evening. Neri the chef who always said hello at breakfast, lunch and dinner and appreciated feedback about his cooking. The girls who cleaned our rooms who were always polite and said hello. The biggest shout out goes to Zonia and Nikos who worked the bar. They were amazing always pleased to see you, always knew what you were drinking and would always hold a conversation with you. (Nikos also managed in the morning to keep gardens looking lovely too(even with a bad tooth) To the owners of Kolympia Sun, you should be very proud of your team, they are a credit to you. We came here as a last minute getaway for summer. On first inspection everything seemed okay, however it wasn’t long before we began to notice faults. Although the hotel was only 2 stories high there is no lift which was quite problematic for us having to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs having just arrived late at night. Some other issues include the very small bathroom and all inclusive only being served during set hours. The features in the room were somewhat disappointing. The shower was more like a hose, but it did the job. We ended up using the shower by the pool as the pressure was much better. The beds are very low to the ground and no headboards. There’s a kettle but no coffee/tea so not sure what it’s for really. Plenty of coat hangers and storage but only really enough for about a week. There was 2 of us staying as a couple but they only gave us 1 key. Not a major issue but most hotels give you one each so I did have to ask if i could get my own. Onto the positives, the staff make up for what the hotel lacks. They went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Despite the hotel being very dated and in need of some desperate upgrades, we could not fault the customer service we received. However, we did sometimes need to ask for drinks to be refilled at dinner as there is no drink machine despite this being an all inclusive hotel. There was regular entertainment each night which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you don’t want to be at the hotel there are many activities nearby such as the beach a 5 minute walk or the bus stop into the old town. We always managed to get a bed by the pool which was lovely and cool. Overall, had this not been a last minute decision to get away we would probably have booked somewhere else but it did the job. Somewhere in the sun with cocktails on tap. Will we be back? Probably not.

This is Only my opinion But by far the most disappointing fully inclusive trip I have ever experienced. The photos of this resort are very misleading. I have posted some pictures of the type of bathroom we were led to expect followed by some of the actual bathroom we were allocated. As you will see very very different! The pool area is very tired the sun loungers are old shabby with a high percentage broken. The food is ok I guess but very basic and repetitive also limited choice. I’ve never been to an all inclusive that Doesn’t offer omelettes ! Tries to charge 6 euro for a mojito But you can have Rum with soda and a slice of lime in your inclusive deal Basically charging 6 euro for mint & sugar. Which is pretty disgusting. Oh things such as iced coffee incur an extra charge. By 8pm they start shutting down in the buffet restaurant so if you are hungry after 8pm forget it as foods finished until breakfast my previous standard all inclusive deals have all been far superior It’s a shame as the staff are all very friendly. But no way we will be returning. There are a lot better all inclusive hotels around.

Another great stay Just returned from our second visit here and was equally as impressed as last time There’s always something to eat yes it’s 3 star so don’t expect 5 star La carte the giros in the afternoon are a must Rooms big enough and cleaned daily Pool does have the odd cracked tile for what we paid im not complaining A great base 30 seconds from eucalyptus street and the bar’s restaurants supermarkets bus stops etc What really makes this a great hotel is the staff Special mention again to Despina on reception if you want to know anything she’s a fountain of knowledge and always greats you with a big smile and kalimera Sonya who works on the bar and in the restaurant is also brilliant nothings to much trouble for her The only gripe I have is the one member of staff a tall lady Eastern European or Russian long blond ish hair with red cheeks on a few occasions she completely ignored guests and looked on them as an inconvenience and constantly got orders wrong To summarise a great budget hotel we will return

Nice 3* hotel. Bedroom was basic but did the job, had all amenities - good shower, a safe, television, fridge, AC. Food was nice, always cooked well. Breakfast & dinner did get a bit repetitive, not loads of choice but still plenty of different foods to try. Bbq lunch lovely, also afternoon gyros really tasty. Plenty of drinks choice, good choice of cocktails, strong drinks. Also plenty of mocktails, coffees, juices, iced tea. Always quick service at the bar. The pool area is ok. Plenty of sunbeds but a lot of them broken. Pool is a good size, a few cracked tiles and a lot of algae between the tiles in the pool itself. Good evening entertainment, we saw music, dance, carnival. Staff very friendly and attentive. However when we arrived we did have to wait approx 10 mins as nobody was on reception, we also got lost on the way to our room as it was quite a walk away. Offered late checkout on day of departure, 40 euros till 4pm, an extra 10 euros per hour after this. We didn’t do this, instead we used the shower in the toilets to freshen up before the flight. Seems like a child friendly hotel, however be aware that you can walk directly out onto the road / street from the pool.
